Hey Joey, I know you've said you usually only take video ideas from patrons, but I figured I'd at least submit something just to get it out of my system. I've always wondered how Japanese keyboards work, both for desktop and mobile devices, given that English only has 26 letters whilst Japan has 3 whole unique writing systems, I'm curious as to how Japan has gone about making keyboards for every day use. Hopefully you'll take this into consideration, if not, I do appreciate your time, thanks!

As Kappiomu Kafyamim said, they're actually pretty simple. You can type Japanese on a regular English keyboard and in fact many Japanese people do. You can just type the word in English characters and it will automatically convert it into Japanese. For homonyms, you press the space bar and the different kanji will appear. Alternatively, there are Japanese keyboards that exist, which just have the 46 hiragana characters, and you type each of those to spell out the word, which are then automatically converted into the correct writing system.

@@diadrite Yeah, you can do this on your own windows PCs, just install the Japanese language pack and you'll get the panel of Kanji when you type using a normal keyboard

Yeah, we(usually) aren't youtubers with hundreds of subscribers showing our faces all over the internet so even if we do come out online it's not even close to coming out to yours family. In my particular case, I have always been partially open about my sexuality or romantic identity as in if you ask me I'll tell you but I won't go out of my way to say it. (especially as their not part of the "popular". Although 'pan' jokes have been gaining popularity). However, nearly two years ago, around the time Covid really hit my country, I discovered I was trans. I kept it secret from my mother for around 7 months and asked my mom to tell my father on.... the 31st of January, happy new year, dad. Altgough, yeah, there are some asshole on the internet but there are also a shit tone of nice people. I spen the whole time I was figuring myself out and even after that I was on the internet, talking to people in simular places as me. I felt very comfortable and safe. Totally not the same as with my parents, although they were okay with it, it's totally not the same. P.s + although I am "out" now, its not exactly what my family thinks I a and as I am young I feel uncomfortable telling them what I believe I am cause I'm scared they'll think im just making shit up. However, I am comfortable enough on the internet to come out. Sorry for writing such a long paragraph, Tl;dr coming out to the internet and coming out to your family is very different.

I think the reason why most people fail their new year's resolution is that they don't actually consider the cost of actually doing their resolution , for example if someone makes a new year resolution that they'll cut down on caffeine they never actually consider that it's going to be very very hard, what would be an easier cost to pay is "I will only take caffeine once in 4 days" Caffeine is just a minor example if you have more serious problems go get help

My new years goal/resolution (has aspects of both) is to stop being as lazy of a bum. This includes 3 things. 1) Go to bed at semi-reasonable times (no later than 2:30am), 2) get my life in order (get a job when I'm not in school, get a bank account, get my drivers license, etc), and 3) try to be more productive throughout the day. Less reddit scrolling and more intentional choices, even if some of those things bring me out of my comfort zone a bit.

I'm 27 too. I changed my career 6 months ago. I was overthinking and contemplating life through lots of creative writing and noticed I started to isolate myself... This creeped in slowly for about 3/4 years. You work up towards something, lose pasion for it, and then you start to wonder if you should just stay commited to this route. It numbed me down to almost everything I'd experience. One day I had enough, quit my job and found a job in IT. It may not be perfect--it's hard work to start from scratch--but I feel like there are a lot of options opening up now. It's invigorating :).

I don't think I've ever really made a resolution. We never know day to day what can happen or what we will go through. My motto: Take life one day at a time, one step at a time. Not everyday is good but not everyday is bad either. For myself 🤷🏻 I find that the added pressure of a goal that I've set 🤔 if I am not 100% ready to commit to can add unnecessary stress. I would rather work towards small goals I set throughout the year versus a large one at the beginning of the year. I know some people can follow through with the large goals and I quite admire the steadfast resolve and commitment, I also know people who can't or don't follow through 🤷🏻 they end up being depressed or upset because they think they failed. We all have paths to walk throughout our lives, I think if we set small goals and follow through despite whatever dramas come our way it is very impressive and something to be very proud of. Just do your best and remember no matter what anyone says you are amazing.

I try to stick with easy goals to hit (like maintaining my current weight, or maintain my current workout goals but maybe add one more day a week or month to that workout calendar or something simple) Unfortunately my goal going into 2022 (stay as healthy as I possibly can) was broken not by me, but by a friend whom I trusted and though was a responsible adult....he had the beginning symptoms of covid and thought it was just from working really hard at work that day (he works in a warehouse loading/unloading trucks). He admits he should have stayed home since symptoms (sore throat, cough) didn't go away after being off work for a couple hours, and now 10 of us are covid + and quarantined for 2 weeks.

My new year's resolution is to be more responsible. Not that I consider myself irresponsible for any matter, but we all have those self sabotaging mechanisms, in which we harm ourselves for the sake of laziness or tiredness. I mean, we should go easy on ourselves and give ourselves a break sometimes. But fulfilling our responsibilities, activating that sense of duty - that is also incredibly important. On the weekends, maybe - instead of laying on the couch drinking soda and eating junk food - I could finally finish writing that story. Or at least work on it a bit. I surely don't mean to sacrifice all resting moments (I mean, we do need those). But I really gotta step up my game and get stuff moving.

I have no News Years resolutions per se, but some things I'm hoping to accomplish. Last year was amazing for fulfilling some goals. I landed the best paying job I've had so far and that helped so much. Mine and my roommate brother's cars had been broken down for a year, and because of mental burnout, I had job hopped a lot in 2020...we were two months behind rent. I was proud to be able to not only catch us up but to get ahead a month. I paid for both of our vehicles (though I'll admit, the stimulus checks also helped a lot, too). My credit report randomly wiped off all of my medical charges (one did expire but the other one I should still owe). I decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth and didn't inquire why it was removed. Instead, I went ahead and paid off all other debts I owed except for some repossessed or wrecked cars, all of which should be expiring in the next two to three years. My credit rating is still bad because of them, but it still feels nice to have those things paid. And then my last goal from 2021 was to move out of the old, dingy townhouse we rented. My younger brother had been wanting to move to the same state as our older brother for years and I was feeling really depressed and frustrated with living in the hood. I sent my brother to live with our older bro, paid a good chunk of change to have his car transported there as it wasn't in good enough condition for him to drive it there, and then moved into a small apartment located on the much better side of town. Sadly...the good times were not to last. At no fault of their own, my job was forced to let most of us go (we were contracted with my state but they chose not to renew the contract with us). So as I type this, I'm hoping like hell I'm eligible for unemployment or else I won't afford rent next month. Due to needing to assemble training classes, customer service jobs can take a long time to hear anything back or begin working, but what's worse, I began sending applications at the start of December when we found out we weren't being renewed and even 8 days into the new year, I've heard nothing. Getting a bit nervous here, so I really need the unemployment to come through. My apartment doesn't care about upsets like this and will still evict me after first charging astronomical fees because rent is late. Hoping my mom can step in if need be to help me out. Anywho, if I weather through this, my first goal for 2022 is to save up an emergency fund. After that, to furnish my new apartment since that had to be put on hold. And lastly, build up a fund for getting a new vehicle as my current one keeps breaking down and I've been dissatisfied with it ever since my brother had a minor wreck in it. I fully own the car, but that is the only good thing as otherwise, I'm losing a lot of time and money each time it's down. Anywho...thanks for coming to my own TED Talk, lol.

I've literally never made a New Years Resolution and actually remembered what it was after a few days.

My goal is to be as good at tsunakos artstyle as I possibly can. Considering how much change and adaptation ive done this year, I have a pretty good shot at it. Ive even improved enough for Tsubasaki-sensei to recognize it. I genuinely cant wait to see where i end up this year

When Joey said, "people who stick around in a positive attitude usually end up experiencing positive things" is like saying the dumb quote by Emiya Shirou, "people die if they are killed" 😂

Not really, he means if youre positive youll attract positive things around you.

Your hair is about as fabulous as mine. Wild and free. I need a hair cut badly. New Year's resolution: keep on living. Goal for next year: keep on living. The longer I live, the harder it gets to manage my health, but I will get to experience many more things new and old.

With how these first 9 days have been for my family, my new years resolution is. Objective: Survive. Nah but really, I've been working on fixing my terrible health, need to get out and about more, find out if some of these health things I've been shrugging off need fixing and work up the courage to go to the dentist again (The drills man, drills are cool and all just not in my mouth)

I have been working out 6 times a week for the last 4 months leading up to 2022. My goal is to keep up something similar to that for the majority of this year. Vacations/travel (if the Rona lets me) being the exception. Oh and Rona willing, travel.

My wife always starts hitting the gym around November so that she can give it up for her new years resolution. Next level thinking there.
