I did a video on why this commercial was disappointing but apparently YT is not presenting the thumbnail (only 29 views) as I am a nobody out here, LOL. Basically, people felt deceived and thought (rightly so) that it would be live in State Farm Stadium during the Super Bowl. Everything about it is sketchy, especially the refs who never even look to see if the kick is good and signal "no good." But FanDuel got us all talking about it and that's just what they wanted. The people at the end jumping means they already knew that if he missed everyone still gets money, so we know the commercial itself was already known by everyone there… now if he made it it’s possible they would’ve just gone with a different audio clip such as “Gronk wins, everyone wins” instead of whatever they said “he might’ve missed but you still win” that is possible… it’s just clear it wasn’t live. So I really question how legit it is that he had “one kick”, it makes me question why they would also put it out in the desert with no fans in attendance. The actual promotion was basically, "If you bet at least $5 on the Super Bowl, you'll get anywhere from $5-20 in free bets based on how much you bet on the SB and your Sportsbook betting history." The kick, and the result of the kick, literally didn't matter at all; it was just to make the actual promotion seem more interesting. Set the playback speed to .25 speed and you'll see he did in fact miss it. In real time it does look like a successful field goal though. I thought the same until I slowed it down. But either way it doesn't matter because it wasn't even live and it wasn't even a reairing of a previously live kick and worst of all, in my opinion, the football was definitely CGI and looked fake as hell lol. Plus the fact they did it at night with not much light behind the goal post, makes it even more likely its CGI so they could hide the editing better against the dark background. Of course that's just my opinion though.
