Do you know any shops in the USA who do the chemical clean you do.
@UltimateDieselTuning Жыл бұрын
no not sure sorry mate! It depends on the concoction of chemicals used though - anyone can buy an on-car machine, but it's all about the chemical concoction. We developed our own concoction, which works very well, over a year or so, a few years ago.

Around every 50,000klms or so. More if it's a V8 LandCruiser.

Looks like a great product and would definitely be an easier option to clear out the built up soot. What dealer network do you have in Sydney NSW ?

@@UltimateDieselTuning Try this. There is NO soot removal/reduction requirement for the service life of any Hyundai Diesel turbo engine. NONE! I wonder why????????????? Our 2013 i30 CRDi Premium 6 speed auto has NEVER had any "treatment" from new so at 173,000 KM's I thought I'd ask an independent mechanic to inspect the entire intake, EGR, PCV and inlet valves. All our engine showed was a light grey colour on all the intake side. No dark soot, clogged intake etc and clean intake valves. I wonder how Hyundai manage this? Any answers?
@UltimateDieselTuning2 жыл бұрын
@@theaustralianconundrum they all develop it mate. If it's got an EGR valve, then it'll definitely have a build-up of soot.
@theaustralianconundrum2 жыл бұрын
@@UltimateDieselTuning Absolutely not in ours. Every Hyundai dealer tell me the same story. There is NO service manual directive for any cleaning of the intake side of things for the life of these engines. Hyundai Australia technical advisers also concur. If it were necessary every dealership would be on our case to perform any intake cleaning I could guarantee that! Ours car starts instantly, runs very smooth and quiet, emits NO smoke of any colour, and uses a mere 200ml engine oil between every 7,500KM oil & filter change. We run Genuine Hyundai parts including 5W30 full synthetic and use Premium Diesel fuel. The car has no hesitation, pulls like a freightrain and is a delight to drive. It has never had the EGR Valve replaced and all codes come back for correct operation including our EGR. Our EGR valve is closed and there is "no EGR flow when the engine is cold, at idle, or during hard acceleration". Our EGR flow is at its peak during steady cruising under moderate load. Cheers!

@@theaustralianconundrum hi mate. OK if your engine has an EGR valve in it, then it most certainly will have soot build-up to some extent, unless it has been switched off or you have an engine oil catch can fitted. EGR stands for Exhaust Gas Recirculation - it is a system that redirects your used exhausts gases back into the intake of your engine, instead of sending them out your exhaust & out into the atmosphere. This dry gas then mixes inside your intake system with wet oily-like vapours, which are caused by excessive crankcase pressure (totally normal). And that is when SOOT develops, it looks like tar. No amount of servicing helps this issue & neither does the type of engine oil that you use or any other parts that are genuine or not - that is all inconsequential. It's just an unfortunate side effect to the engine from the EGR system of all common-rail turbo-diesel engines, and also any other engine that runs an EGR valve. We have not come across one of these engines with over, say, 50,000klms on them that does not have any soot build-up in some form - and I'm talking about several thousands of engines as we do check for this issue before we carry out any tuning. It appears that dealerships just turn a blind eye to this issue. Cheers mate.

🤔 yes, the chemical concoction vapourises the soot. Not sure how that will keep any customers away? It works & it's safe for your engine. We've performed thousands of these cleans with no issues. Cheers!

Until I see a manifold removed and close inspection after one of your soot cleans. If you need acid to clean the parts when they are off the vehicle acid must be part of your soot clean also. Sounds like a scam like the rest of the workshop soot clean scams.
@UltimateDieselTuning Жыл бұрын
There are videos on this on our channel. And before & after pictures on our Instagram. No acid required. Definitely NOT a scam.
@garyb.1047 Жыл бұрын
Respectfully, after seeing your comment I went to your Instagram page to look for before and afters. I could only find one and it was just the head cover for the manifold. Given the huge amount of sludge that does buildup, it's hard to believe that any chemical cleam can reduce the depth of buildup. I watched another video where the manifold and inlets were removed and sprayed using an oven cleaner, but that only softened it and it still had to be pressure washed out. I would recommend and would love to see some genuine before and after pictures of the whole manifold assembly after one of your alleged soot cleans please.
@garyb.104710 ай бұрын
I noticed there is still no response from Ultimate Diesel to my comment. Would be easy to put an end to it by showing us the results of the alleged soot clean deep inside the engine, that is, befores and afters. What is disturbing is the misleading comment that there are videos on their Instagram page. There is only one video as I mentioned, and that is the manifold cover. Hardly convincing.

@@garyb.1047 the best way is to take photos of build up soot yourself then send it to this company for the service. Honestly I do not think their procedure would be able to remove thick build up anyway. I would DIY taking into consideration it could be a messy job
