I was studying philosophy at the time this came out and the way magda took offence is exactly how my lecturers spoke. You had to learn "the lingo" fast to understand it all. I also loved" big girls blouse" and of course "fast forward "before that. Definitely react to the fast forward outtakes and bloopers.

I’m sending to my gay - ex fiancé lol. Now I’m divorced we are friends again. He broke my heart, but I’ve forgiven him. Back in the 70s many married to hide it. He said he couldn’t do that to me. He’s a wonderful friend. Another funny thing he did, I was talking to his niece on line, and she said, “are u the one and only girlfriend he had, the one he keeps a picture of on his mantle piece?“ I said what lol. She said “yes he brags about the one and only and shows pic to all his gay friends”, he’s a crack up 😂 . Shame in one way he’s gay, a far better man than the one I was married to for 22 years. Oh well, I accept him for who he is, a good man. We nearly moved in together as friends, 2 bathrooms, extra rooms for our own space. But we couldn’t agree on where lol. Didn’t matter, still friends.

As a bytheway there really is a gay games( The last one being Paris and the next in Hong Kong) very similar to the Olympics. For obvious safety reasons they are not held in Olympic cities or affiliated with the official olympics, but has a strong level of competition(averaging 10,000 competitors) and over 111 countries.

It wouldn't surprise if Magda Szubanski (the slightly rotund 1) actress wrote this script as she is indeed gay. Good roll off the tongue verse in the fencing comp by Magda. Good 1 getting that 1 in 1 take without bursting out in laughter. Jane Turner and Gina Riley as good as ever.

Rob, you would love Lynne and Carmel, which was on Fast Forward in the '90s. It's a classic and favourite of mine (and many of the other gays lol). Find the Lynne and Carmel Fast Forward playlist (the clips are very short so it's best to do a heap in one video - properly a whole series in about 20 minutes, so perfect I reckon.) Check it out. So funny. Magda, who played the woman taking offence in this video (and is a gay icon and beloved Aussie icon) plays Lynne (I think her last name is Postlethwaite from memory!). Would love to see you react to those.

Magda grew up in Croydon, Victoria, I used to live there. Right next to Dorset Road. That's right, you've got Manchester and Hull, the list goes on. Kath and Kim is based on a Narre Warren housing estate and shopping plaza. Again, I admit to frequenting this area in regard to family, friends, and just passing through on a fishing trip. I suppose that what I am trying to say is, it is so close to home. Including (self) Sharon's obsession with Shane Warne.

Not to explicitly contradict.. however Fountain Lakes doesn't exist... it was, yes, Fountain Gate shopping centre in Narre Warren (South-Eastern Melbourne), but also Patterson Lakes near Cheltenham (also South-Eastern Melbourne), however they also filmed in Caroline Springs (Outer-Western Melbourne), Taylors Lakes (South-Western Melbourne)..... and both Ripponlea and Nunawading...

Hi Rob. We had a 'Gay Olympics' competition in Perth (at Perth Oval in East perth) that ran for 2 to 3 years from memory. It was in the early 90's. Funny as f**k. They crowned a 'Queen of the Comp.' who paraded around in an open roofed limo. Some of the event had to be seen to rebelieved!!! Very risqué in some parts!
