Nah, he’s getting less hateful and becoming more of a shill in recent years. Did you hear him doing the late night circuit and talking up that garbage all female Ghostbusters reboot they did?

@@JanoyCresvaZero I think the only reason he did that movie was because Akroyd was involved. Hell he was probably more enticed into doing the next one since Jason Reitman was writing and directing. Bill Murray apparently is a very tough guy to convince when offering roles, the only person he’s stated to giving an immediate yes is Wes Anderson.

of course he hated them they were all catering to the lowest common denominator , i never understood why people found sandler or even farley funny, they were like ADHD stupid low brow shallow humor.

He probably didn't like their idea of comedy. Remember, Farley was funny but he was "slapstick" funny. More physical than verbal. Sandler was about making silly jokes and doing silly baby sounds or something like that. He probably looked at the cast back then like we look at today's SNL cast and think: "This isn't comedy. These people aren't funny."
@killaken2000
@killaken2000 Жыл бұрын
You might be onto something. The movies I remember Murray most for are funny based on dialogue and acting (delivery or a certain perfect wink, smile, movement, etc) whereas the Farley is slapstick and Sandler is ridiculous. Maybe he felt that those laughs were cheap in a way because slapstick and ridiculousness are inherently funny to some degree. Seeing someone fall gets a laugh on a subconscious level. Even babies will laugh at slapstick. And ridiculous topics are sort of another shortcut to laughs. Alternatively though he could have just had bad memories of the old days or heard stories of the backstabbing that was going on at SNL.

It was 2000 and I was a 23yo kid at the time and I met Bill at the airport and actually had a conversation about baseball for a half hour. I was at the bar sipping on a Boston lager and I see him but I pay no mind because everyone was like “hey! It’s Bull Murray!” So he says his hellos to them and out of no where I hear “I’m just gonna take a seat here since you don’t who I am” and I said I know who you are I’m just not the type of person to crowd someone’s personal space. He bought the next 6 rounds. By that I mean 2 beers and 4 shots and talked about the Cleveland Indians since I was wear a Kenny lofton jersey. And he loved the fact I was from Buffalo.

😂THEY SHOULD SHOW SOME RESPECT FOR A COMIC GENIUS AND A RETIRED LEGEND UNLIKE THOSE TRASH. EVERYONE hates those creeps. And, Oh yeh, Farley who disrespected the death of Belushi then dies himself of a morphine and cocaine overdose in his hotel room, and Sandler (who I also hate too) that thinks comedy is about being a talentless dickhead.

I had the very same kind of experience at my local bar back in Oakland with a lesser known comedian, Dave Atell, who was there to shoot a promo for his cable show about dive bars across America. All the regulars were ACTING like bar regulars and really embarrassing, so he sat next to me because I wasn't buying into that bull💩. We had a few and talked for a while, rolling our eyes at all the antics of the hambones around us.

He sided with Hogan in his last years because he new being in that spotlight wasnt easy and Hogan did make a lot of people a ton of money. With all those 80s wrestlers dying so young.. pipers death just hit different. He lived in kayfabe and took all the heat and love from his fans because thats what he lived for. End of rant.

I had a terrible case of sciatica when my kids were little. I went to the grocery store after dropping them at school. I only made it a few steps from my car and the pain hit me hard. A nice man helped me back and took my shopping list from me. He had on a hat and sunglasses and sounded like Bill Murray. An hour later he came back out and loaded the groceries in my car. I asked how much I owed him and took out my checkbook. He said to forget it and walked off. I drove home and upon arrival found that he had followed me. He said he realized I wouldn’t be able to carry the groceries inside. I finally got a good look at him. “Are you Bill Murray?” He chuckled and grabbed an armload of groceries. I hobbled inside and he carried them in and put them all away. I had been dealing with my affliction for a while so the house was a mess. I was embarrassed since I am usually very tidy. I asked him to please excuse the state of things. He chuckled and proceeded to clean my whole house top to bottom. When he was done I said “I can’t wait to tell everyone how nice the one and only Bill Murray was to me, thank you so much.” With that he chuckled again and said “you won’t be telling anyone anything ever again!!” He leapt at me and started strangling me. The pain from my sciatica was tremendous and shooting lighting bolts of pain from my toe to my back. The muscles in the whole leg cramped. I tried to fight back but my body wouldn’t let me. So I faked losing consciousness. He took his hands away and retrieved a large knife which had been concealed behind his belt. His hands were quivering, likely from adrenaline, and he dropped the knife. By the grace of god the handle fell right into my right hand. I grasped the weapon and stabbed it into the side of his neck. The blade was so long it protruded all the way through the other side. He bled out and died within seconds leaving me covered in blood. It took several minutes for me to work free from below his lifeless body. I called police and was taken in for questioning. The detective was confused. He said “that man looks more like Eddie Murphy than Bill Murray!” I asked what he meant and he replied “Bill Murray is white, balding, middle age, and out of shape. The man you killed is black, 6’2” muscularly built and has an Afro!” I told him “I don’t see color.” The dead man was a pastor in his church and had no record. I myself had a previous situation with a dead man in my home. This biased them greatly. They decided I had lured him to my house by faking an injury and murdered him. I sort of understood this since my sciatica was cured when I crawled from under his body. I felt a pop in my back and the pain left me. However, there was no evidence to contradict my story and I was unjustly found guilty of first degree murder. I served 22 years in prison and have been free for some time now on parole. I certainly will never let Bill Murray help me ever again!!!

I’ve heard similar stories about how Bill Murray is extremely difficult to work with. From what I understand, he and Harold Ramis fell out while working on Groundhog’s Day to the point they stopped talking for nearly 2 decades (a major reason we didn’t get a Ghostbusters 3) and the reason he was replaced with Bernie Mac in Charlie’s Angels Full Throttle is because of how much of a d**k he was to Lucy Liu on the set of the first movie.

People often forget Bill Murray came from a very poor family, like all the kids put their money in from their part-time jobs to buy food for the family.
