One of the local dealerships kept sending me junk mail. I called them and asked to be taken off of their mailing list three times. They kept sending junk mail. I went through every magazine I could find at any location and tore out the subscription request page. I filled it out with the local dealership's name and address and checked the bill me later box. That was 20 years ago and I bet they are still getting those magazines.

When I was fresh out of H.S. I worked for a plumbing company and the owner was a self made man nothing was ever given to him and he was making bank back in the late 80’s & early 90’s. So one day I get this letter from my bank stating that my last deposit was no good. So the next morning I got to the shop and ask the owner if I could talk to him in private and showed him the the letter from my bank. He was like WTF and this was like at 7:00 am he stormed back up to the front of the office and asked anyone one else have problems depositing their check or receive a letter from their bank. Their was a handful of us and this man was going ballistic. His daughter worked in the office and he was yelling at her to get them M.F’s on the now. This was before the internet. I thought he was going to blow a valve before the bank doors opened that morning! Turns out the checks that they had printed had either one or two numbers that weren’t right basically saying that the account didn’t exist. I would have hated to been on the receiving end at the bank that morning! That afternoon he had our money in cash with double the bounced check fee that he made his bank pay back to us!

I can agree with this and I’m 29; and have almost nothing in common with people only 10 years younger than me (my little cousins being the primary example, they thought I was 35 when I was 23) The generation gaps feel like they’re getting smaller and smaller, metaphorically speaking. More reliable than any of those German and Italian super cars. Just normal maintenance and they last a long time. The "V" cars are fast and will get good gas mileage if you do not hammer it. My CTS-V will get 22 mpg if you drive it the speed limit on the highway.

I was born in 79 as well Rob and I say the same thing about Gen X , We didnt grow up with technology but it came around early enough so we could still learn it.. We lived outside as kids, have independent problem solving skills and we dont need to look everything up. We can still do things with our hands and drive standards and our parents were boomers so we were taught to have a work ethic...I was brought up around cars and old school men so i can have a conversation with a mans man and i can listen to and relate to a millennial. Gen X really is that bridge to the old school and the first of the New School... We are the last great generation

My senior year of college was 2002 and the college i went to that year happen to be really full . As a rule Seniors got single rooms but because of the overcrowding they paired me up with another Senor. It went ok for the first month back at school but this roommate of mine didnt like the fact that i smoked dope and would come back to the room reeking at night after hanging out with my friends...He was a slimy bastard and he got it in his head that he was going to go to the RD (residential director) and tell him i was dealing pot out of our room. That was grounds for expulsion from school no if ands or buts as pot was illegal back then all because the asshole wanted a single . I had lived on this floor all through school which is also where the RD lived so he knew better he gave me a heads up and just to avoid trouble he ended up finding me a single at the end of the hall. I was fuming mad that the guy lied about me dealing drugs and tried to get me kicked off campus just so he could have his single room...Well that made me angry so i waiting a few months just so nobody would be suspicious before i put my plan in action. When they gave me my single they never actually took back my old room key so i could still get into the roommates room. I waited one day for him to go to work and went into his room and took a number 2 and cleaned myself up with a pair of his boxer shorts...I mean what could he do? go to the RD and say "someone left a skid mark in my underwear?? hahaa they would have looked at him like he was nuts...the other part of my plan was worse...during the 2 months i waited i was having dudes i know as well as myself piss in two liter bottles and let it get real old and stinky...See we had something in common We both drove mid 80s monte carlos so i know how much he loved that car...one feb night i went out and drained his radiator and filled it with about 6 2 liter bottles of old piss...one it will freeze during our northeast winters and number 2 when he goes to crank up the heating un that old car all he is going to get is a huge blast of old piss smell....I remember him complaining about the smell in the hall and i just laughed...he never did figure it out...serves him right he trued to get me kicked out my senior year

Oh the good ole days print ad's I bought a car once from the buy sell and wrecked trader back in the day it was a 1999 Trans Am white with the blue stripes V8 6 speed manual the showed up well it was a manual but a 5 speed V6 they blow me off when I called them so I roasted the business every week in the print they finally gave me my money a let me keep the car if I would stop roasting them geuss what I kept the car got my money and still roasted them in to bankruptcy I wasn't the only one that they burnt but it eventually put them out business.

About 20 years ago I had dealer owed me for 2 5car loads and I was having a hard time getting my money then he wrote me a hot check and was stupid enough give me a 4 car load that was 2year old explorer's i made sure to get there during regular hours then he told me unload and come in and get a check told him no when you pay the bill in cash then you get the cars next you know we have cops first it's a sheriff next it's the chp and then a commercial chphe is trying get the cops to make me unload finally the commercial cop asks what are you going to do if he doesn't pay you I told him the cars go to an impound lot and I pay a lien service and when it's all done I sell them and get my money and if there is any thing left over he will get it cop told better pay him if you want your cars because what he is doing is legal never hauled another for him but word got around had very little trouble getting my money after that and it helped I knocked mirror off a car and when I pulled in told the dealer about it and asked how much and paid him

This guy I thought was my buddy needed a set of tires real bad and I had a new set laying around so I sold them to him for $250 on his word he would pay me Friday. Well Friday came and went several times and he was a no call no answer no show buddy then. So I would go online to these Gay chat rooms and make a post about wanting to trade picks with other guys and I'd post his number. Well it would take all of about 30 seconds before his phone would start blowing up with people sending him the nastiest things you could think of. It just wasn't a few text it would be hundreds of messages from horny men and I could make it happen when ever I wanted.
