Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 sucks ass! It is so horrible that I seriously had to walk away, grab a stiff drink, go to sleep, and try to completely forget about what I just watched. It nearly drove me insane. There is no denying that this is the worst installment in the entire Halloween franchise (that is if you even want to compare Zombie's franchise to the original); but I'm not even saying that! I'm saying that this version of Halloween 2 is probably the worst movie I have ever seen in my life!!!

Halloween 2007 and 2010: WAY... too FAR from reality, too unrealistic, too predictable and disappointing. Too science-fiction type. Ron Zombie is not a good film creator. These two latest Halloweens versions 2007 2010 are so FAR-FETCHED and contrived to a point of RIDICULE,déjà vu and plain science-fiction.. more than real credible and real-life situations. I miss the first and second one(1978-80) that were more realistic and plausible.If you liked those first earlier versions, you'll fall asleep or fastforward on these latest. It's just fiction and repetitive and déjà vu. And just gore and gross vulgar bloody gratuitous slaughtering aimed for children audiences but not adults.Voilà mes amis.

I'm sooooo glad the next movie will not be a sequel to the rob zombie films. I heard it's gonna be a direct sequel to the Halloween 2 (81.) It might be the first movie. One of those. I heard one character from that movie is returning. Are u excited for it??? Do u not care about the Halloween movies anymore??? I know u already mentioned u don't. U might change your mind. I like the first 3, and the producer's cut of 6. I do like some of the original cut of 6, but mostly the PC. John strode had a cooler death in the theatrical version. The rest of the Halloween movies suck. Halloween II (81) is my fav Halloween movie also.

Hey Matt, its just been announced that another Halloween movie is in development but this time its not going to be connected with those abomination Rob Zombie remakes, but instead going to be connected with the original series of movies which is a first for Hollywood. Its even going to have Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie Strode (which means that they are either going undo the damage caused by Resurrection, or undo it) who made a posted on her twitter feed saying "Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18" hopefully this means that Hollywood has learn there lesson and that this time they are going to kill off the Boogeyman for good. Also I hope it doesn't become like the Farce Awakens, just ripping off scenes from the first movie. With that said what are your thoughts on this announcement?

It hasn't been announced (as of yet) as to whether or not this movie is going to ignore H20, though its very possible that history is going to repeat itself and we'll get another Resurrection after this one is successful, however if it does connect after the events of Resurrection then I believe that it will have less of a chance of it copying H20 because their gonna have to explain how Laurie survived from getting stab, who found her body, and revived her (If Resurrection can retcon Michael's death in H20, then I would be alright with them retcon Laurie's death). If it were me I would have that person be Tommy Doyle (played again by Paul Rudd) , thus giving the film a connection with IV-VI, in order to solidify its places as the last film in the franchise. Unfortunately Hollywood nowadays lacks the creativity of coming up with something like that or any idea for that matter, but I'll give them a golf clap for giving them the decency of not making Rob Zombie's H3.

I know this is far from a perfect movie however I preferred this to Rob Zombies first Halloween. What I really liked about this movie was how well they dealt with Laurie Strodes PTSD. Usually in horror sequels when the main protagonist survives a traumatic event, in the sequel they are as bright and bubbly as they were at the start of the first one. But not in this movie, Laurie Strode is fucked up in this movie and that is realistic, they didn't sugarcoat what happened in the first movie. I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this but I enjoyed the spiritual aspect of the movie. Yeah the white horse thing was kinda lame but the way they shot the gothic scenery was beautiful and I liked how we were never sure weather it was literal and symbolic. The down side to this movie was that there were too many unnecessary moments. For example there is no reason why those two guys had to be joking about necrophilia. And that bit when that van pulls up towards Micheal and they started beating him had nothing to add to the movie. I didn't really like how Sam Loomis was a absolute dickhead in this movie, in the first movie he was a likeable guy but it didn't make sense why he was some snobby bitch in this movie.

i can feel your anger about this film, i was a little pissed when a first saw it as well. that white horse scene was lame, i know that, but i guess rob wan`t myers to be more human/psychopath, maybe psychopaths see they`re mom or other family members like he do, because they was the only one that loved him, at least his mom did, look at ed gein for example. anyway, we don`t wanna see myers in that way, i agree with your review. for me the original halloween 1 and 2 are the best. masterpieces.

Like you, I LOVE Rob Zombie as a musician. I could rock out to his music 24/7, but as a filmmaker I usually cannot stand. Granted he made his own "vision" of John Carpenter's original "Halloween" and it was immature, vile garbage. This sequel is pure trash, absolute filth. Zombie needs to stick with his music.

I agree with mostly all your points. I saw this in the theatre and it sucked. I couldn't make out what was going on when it was dark (mostly the entire film) as the image was so grainy and fuzzy. I found out recently it was probably due to the fact it was filmed in 16mm. Another poor choice for RZ.

Even the appearance of Michael is wrong. He's like some giant wrestler type comic book villian...but it's not what it should be about. Carpenter's Myers was pretty tall but lean and thinner because they didn't want to focus on physical strength/evil, but the supernatural inside his body. His thinner frame gave a methodical, more evil appearance...Zombie's Myers looks like the Hulk in a Halloween mask. The one saving grace is sheriff Brackett. Everyone else is annoying or just not engaging.

I really like this movie. I like how it shows the psychological effect Michael had on Laurie. I didn't mind how Michael didn't wear his mask the whole movie, and how he just walks around for the first half of the movie. The opening dream sequence seemed like a homage to the first Halloween II. I like the new take and the different feel of the movie. It is darker, gorier, and more psychologically disturbing than the other movies. The mask is one of my favorite in the series. I prefer the Theatrical version over the Unrated version because I prefer the ending where Laurie lives. In the Unrated version, Laurie gets shot and dies, and Michael yells "DIE!" to Loomis. I do acknowledge how there are a few things wrong with this movie though, such as Dr. Loomis' character being unlikable. While Loomis was my favorite character in the original series, Laurie was my favorite character in the remakes. My other main complaint about this movie, besides Laurie's death (in the Unrated version) was the overuse of the shaky camera effect. I do not like shaky camera scenes, and there was too much of it in this movie. I think Scout Taylor-Compton is great as Laurie and she's my favorite actress as Laurie because I'm not a fan of H20 or H:R, and Scout makes Laurie more relatable to people in this day and age. I can relate to these characters more because I'm around the age as these characters are and they react realistically to situations like this if this happened today. Scout Taylor-Compton is a great actress and I'm a big fan of her Laurie Strode. Overall, I do like this movie more than the 2007 movie, and I would probably put the 2007 movie as my 2nd favorite movie in the series behind Halloween II (2009), and in front of Halloween (1978), and Halloween 4 (1988). I like just about everything about this movie, and I find it very re watchable. It's my favorite Halloween movie and in my Top 10 Horror movies.

Here's another one where I'm the weirdo. I actually love this flick. My third fav of the series. The unrated director's cut that is. I love the story with Laurie and Annie. It was very well done IMO and Danielle Harris's best performance I'd say. Side note, a lot of people think that the chics in this film are stupid and no one acts like that. I know a lot of girl who act exactly like them. And they're fun.

I think RZ's Halloween II was definitely better than the remake/reimagining. I really liked the new direction he went with H2. Michael's new look was FREAKY, and I liked how he was this deranged hobo, while still being true to Michael Myers. The bizarre dream sequences were good, and Annie's death scene was HEART BREAKING. Most horror films make death look like a joke, but Annie's death scene was truly heartbreaking. H2 was NOT dogshit, for dogshit please see Halloween: Resurrection

The first movie wasn't about the gore or going the shock value route. It was about the mood and the foreboding tone of the movie which is what John Carpenter was going for, there are a lot of interviews in which John Carpenter has expressed this, that that was the direction style he was going for, the atmospheric music added a lot to the creepy atmosphere as well.

I love the first Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) but this one I could never ever get into I tried watching it 3 or so times but never all the way through, fuck this boring as shit movie!
