I am honored that you answered my question, thanks Rob! half BND, half TIPs sounds reasonable.

It is fun Investing. I am retired and love managing my finances and portfolio... 🙂

When I retired I told myself my full time job now is to manage my trust/portfolio - but after a few years of tweaks, it's pretty much on autopilot. I guess it's fun watching it grow.

70/30, 3 fund portfolio - job done, Thanks for the 50 ticker evaluations but no changes for me for the next 40 years I guess. What are folk trying to do with 50 different tickers?

Is there a KZbin channel or a website that teaches very basics of investing to an amateur adult?

Like your vlogs. Very informative. Do you have any views (pro or con) related to annuities?

Rob, do I really need bonds as a 25 year old? Getting company match on 401k, not married/no kids (yet), 20k debt (school loans + car, no house yet), a salary that is considered by my peers/mentors to be quite high (nearing 6 figures), with an engineering degree, currently in what I would consider a “safe” field with little fear of losing my job (utilities), or being unable to find another if need be due to my perceived skillsets. What am I protecting against with bonds, why wouldn’t I go 100% in on stocks? I’ve got a long time horizon and don’t plan to sell the ETFs/compnies I own, ever. If the data consistently shows that the S&P, total stock market, etc. will come out on top in the long run, why would I ever buy a bond?

Rob! Done listening to this video. Very informative as usual. Love your channel (hope you continue the podcast). One question here, I am done with maxing my HSA and Roth (plus Acorns), but my employer don't offer 401K. Where do I need to invest my spare cash? Thanks!!

Just try and get 6% plus rtn on your investment (after inflation) over a year, and you can take 10% of you pot per annum as salary/income (compound interest on the balance will do the heavy listing).

I know you really don’t like Bitcoin, and there are points I disagree with you on about it. But what will it take for you to be convinced that Bitcoin is a good investment and not a gamble? It’s used everyday by institutions? It’s in everyone’s retirement account? It’s the worlds reserve? Etc.. What are the factors that would have to happen to flip the switch in your head that Bitcoin is a legit investment?
