The idea of Robb riding to King's Landing to help his father was always an intriguing one. Hard to say how things would have turned out, of course, given that Robb wouldn't have been sheltered by Littlefinger nor would he have rashly arrested Tyrion had they crossed paths. Plus I really wanted to see Ned and Robb actually have a real scene together.

At that point he wasnt riding to KL for war, as Robert was still king. He prolly would have came to KL with a few hundred men maybe. Most likely of all the events played out and rRobert died. Ned would have tried to tell robb to head to winterfell before confronting Cersei and naming Joffrey bastard pretender.. Ned would have been taken hostage and killed and everything stays the same

What would’ve happened is they would’ve traded Ned and the girls for Jaime. After that it’s likely Ned would’ve declared for Stannis if he wasn’t already sworn to the Nights watch. In that case Robb would do so and likely they’d take kings Landing and be in a stronger position.

Reading to Margeary when she was little and giving his brother, Garlan a cool nickname to ensure he didn't end up with a bad one like their great uncle, Garth the gross. And Garlan the gallant more than lived up to his given nickname.

Robb Stark, Theon Greyjoy and Jon Snow would have made a great trio. Theon with bow and arrow, Robb with spear and Jon with sword (Robb was better than him in TV Series not the books) and they would have won many battles as the leading trio, all of them have different minds and all of them are different from each other. They were very good individually though

I've spent my whole life looking for the perfect AU where Jon does leave the Night's Watch and joins Robb. Maester Wolf is a decent one but it tweaks too much of Jon's backstory imo. I'd love a fic where Jon goes through with leaving, torn between his honour and his brother, but ultimately joining Robb.

One storyline i wished they would have kept was that in the book, robb knocked up a girl from a minor noble house and so betrayed his oath to the Freys to spare his child and the woman the ignomy of illegitimacy. His witnessing of Jons struggles factored into this. This is partially why Katlyn Stark made the well cited quote of her being the source of all of her family's troubles. This was in a way a curse he inherited from his father... being honorable to a fault.
