I really like that you slow it down so people can really see what’s going on. Thanks for that.

I’m not going to lie, I haven’t watched a beat down brown video in three + years because I’ve been focusing on bass / guitar. But to happen upon your videos again and and see you’re STILL delivering the same super valuable knowledge, positive energy, and humor, like 40 months later, brings a huge smile to my face. In case no one has reminded you today Rob, you my friend, are the man. 🫶🏼

This is precisely what so much of today's music is lacking. A real musician, with real talent, on a real instrument, making really good beats!😁

Beat down, you weren’t bullshitting on the Emad EQ3 bass drum combination. That and the “maximum thumpifucation” tuning , kick ass! I’ve learned a lot from your channel… respect.. thanks man!

How have I not discovered you before?.. I LOVE your playing and approach to things! I've been playing for 50 years, and always find new fresh things to do-

Brilliant, as always! With the included doubles the licks just flow round the drums….they are not difficult but way more effective. It’s also worth listening closely and learning the bass drum changes during the grooves. Yes, drum and cymbal sounds are superb. Thanks yet again for inspiration. BW Peter (U.K.)

The Mighty Max Weinberg says he mostly plays doubles on his rolls around the set. Good stuff. Cheers.

I love your tutorials! Im 4 months into drumming (30+ years on the bass, so Im familiar with the rhythm section) & your lessons have saved my broke ass thousands of dollars hiring a coach. Sell, he kinda messed that up for himself but yeah, Im holding down pretty well with a 4 piece of experienced musicians. Thank you!

I pay for Drumeo and yet most of my practice sessions I end up playing with Beatdown. Another staple video here, Rob! Keep up the excellent work

Hey Mr. Rob, if you ever need content, the Tony Williams 5-note ride is something that people would probably enjoy. There’s a few people that cover it, but nobody really does a great job with it. I have been working on it for a while and it’s really the last two notes that get me. The notes are just not evenly distributed once I get over 150 bpms. I can push/pull all day but for some reason the 3 notes before the last 2 got my brain all effed up, like I am hitting a wall with it.

Just wanted to get on here and say thank you for Maximum Thumpification! I’m a believer! Did have to dampen in the studio but man, these shells sing! Side note, are those signature series sticks? They look beefy. I started with Metal Vic Firths and ended up all the way to 8D’s

On example 2, shouldn't the final L notation be up on the line for the 1st tom? Great vidio. I will definitely be practicing these fills

yeah man!!!!! i needed this!! Mr. Brown I have a request if you ever see this: Could you do a quick break down of the drum intro to Parliament - Do That Stuff PLEASE? 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 That fill leading he sticks on the end of the intro is so damn frustrating lol. Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey is one of my all-time favorite drummers man (next to you of course lol)
