The memes are too good in this one lol. I tried to play your rock-bottom Challenge once and it was super fun. It is probably already too late but if anyone wants to start it I would have few tips for the beginning. The Aserai desert wastes is the best place where to begin your adventure. It is filled with desert bandits, hideouts, almost no lords ever go that far and all nearby villages sell cheap horses to keep your party speed high. The desert bandits are great for recruiting as you can turn them into cavalery later. And the next tip would be to always raid hideouts. The loot is great for beginning's standards, you lose very few men in the process and usually get lots of prisoners and troops at the end. If you believe yourself always duel the bandit boss because then you get all of the troops that would fight at the end as bonus prisoners. Hope it Helps!

The likes are actually going very well, proportional to the number of views... 20% of my viewers take their time to press that button, that's a larger percentage than most youtubers. Seriously, if you go to any other channel, Bannerlord or not, take the number of likes, divide them by the number of views and multiply by 100. I guarantee the result will be under 20%. If I were to guess, I'd say it's 5-15% on average, with very rare exceptions here and there. But despite the best efforts of our little community, the algorithm just doesn't give a damn. Fortunately, I make videos for people, not a soulless algorithm.

For now, I'll be setting my sights on other projects, but once mods get real good, I might be coming back to Bannerlord for another playthrough.... However, if I do another playthrough, I promise that I will NOT keep it going it unless the episodes get enough views to justify the time investment. If I followed this principle with Bandit's Ballads, I'd have ended it after episode 5, as I say in the video, only returning to the series when episode 5 got the views it needed. Either that, or I could do regular "Let's Plays" like other youtubers: minimal effort, maximum frequency. I don't need to impose any requirements on those, since I can just spam the channel with them.

I think I remember you saying you don't like playing with mods, since everyone else making videos is doing it. But I think if you did it, with your unique way of creating narratives in the videos, it would actually be different from others still. I think with some overhaul mods, it would bring a more interesting world setting and some more interesting characters. Anyways, just a thought, and I love your videos regardless.

The main reason I'm not playing with mods is because I want to keep up with the latest version of the game as soon as it arrives. Once the game goes stable and steam workshop is enabled, I'll go crazy with mods, especially after they get fleshed out all good and proper. :)

Have you ever tried making a video about the old mount and blade? Or even playing it? It's vanilla version is worse than bannerlord for the most part. Except that fighting with a 2-H spear or lance is way more fun and practical than bannerlord. It also doesn't have perks, so less attention has to be but on character builds. But, a lot of it's mods are better. Tournaments in particular in any of the major war-band mods is way better than tournaments in bannerlord. more variety. More choices. And in the early game, you could actually choose the weapon you take into normal arena battles. The Sengoku mod was amazing, set in japan with samurai, archers, and early guns. Brittainwalda was also really amazing and was set in a divided britain after the fall of rome. With vikings, welsh, saxons, angles, former romans, and druids all arround. It had a really big focus on infantry combat with shield walls, and rarer horses. Which gave it a really interesting but difficult feel. And also a vaguely arthuric vibe in some cases as well. Although, it seems you mostly do vanilla stuff for bannerlord. So, maybe those wouldn't appeal to you? I do really appreciate all the depth of the perk system and additional content for realm management for the late game in bannerlord though.
