Just today received my special signed tin CD Under the Radar...immediately started to listen it...i have been absorbing now each and every track and melody from it. Each song speaks its own story and i could find the wisdom and energy for me. It was really good decision to release those songs, they can touch people's hearts and minds. My favourites are H.E.S, The Edge, All Climb On, Surrender is 200% my song...absolutely amazing songs. Its like you give "invisible" helping hand to move on...

Thanks for putting these songs out Robbie! Awesome album! To think its an album that's not going to be officially promoted or anything... Even though I think it's not as cohesive in subject matter as a regular studio album; musically, lyrically, vocally, I think it may be among Robbie's best, and, hate to say it probably better than some of his other studio albums ('Under the Radar, Vol. 1' to me may be a bit more awesome than 'Intensive Care', 'Reality Killed the Video Star' and 'Take the Crown', and those were all great!)

Never let it be said that the main man cannot remember or has forgotten about all the songs he has ever written and put out or all of the songs that remain on his laptop as unreleased. After the b sides & rarities disc on the I&OOC Boxset I hoped that we'd see a follow up and boy is it here. I was hoping for the track mentioned in your book Feel that you burned onto a CD-R for the Spanish footballer - was it Raul to give him as a present. Puzzling also that Run It Wild don't make the track listing after you spoke about it in the video launch. After being teased with unreleased songs like Go Now on Radio Rude box I am so glad you have done this without much of a launch and much fuss. Here's to volume 2

I just noticed that The Cure REALLY fits perfectly on RKTVS!!! But it shouldn't be replaced with Starstruck since this one is also amazing. It should've just be added or IF replacing than with Morning Sun Reprise because we already have Morning Sun :D

Com'on Rob.. Mr.Jones is about Gary Barlow (and, as you said, it became also about yourself) It's about Gary (+Rob himself), it's about somebody whose virtues and defects Rob sees and recognizes ... a clever man, a careful (too careful?) man, he watches his weight (because of what happened in the past when he was depressed and became fat - true also for Rob nowadays, for he watches his weight as well), everyone thinks he's hot - true also for Rob - he's never had a proper job in life being 'singer' the only 'job' he has ever had - as GB said in many interviews, another thing Gaz and Rob share), can't relax (Gaz is workaholic), etc. etc. I think Rob's partly moking him (and himself in the process, being the song also about Rob himself), but in a lighthearted way, for he can't help loving him. Some lines literally scream "Gary" and they are meaningful and cute to me, showing that Rob really respects Gary, like "good men seldom prevail, they all fail, as he knows, the gifted Mr. Jones". Btw, this is also a line from Gary's autobiografical new song "Flaws", where he said he doesn't know how to win, only how to fail. Finally, I remember Rob called Gary a "National Treasure" during a radio interview time ago (and I think also on a TV special on BBC1) and about week later Gary was being interviewed by the same radio, and they told him Rob had called him a "national treasure" and he said "oh, did him? I owe him a meal now, I need to take him out!" (cute). Now, here Rob said this song was about somebody else (Gary Barlow) but in the end it became about Rob himself.. which means: 1) that the two people, Mr. Jones and Rob, must be sharing some characteristics, so that the lyrics fit both of them (they're singers, good people, watch their weight, never had a 'normal' job, people think they're hot, etc.); 2) that some lines are about Rob himself.. for example, "brought up by his mother only" (for Rob's dd left) and "he could never pass as straight, ask his mates", which are about Rob himself.
