Well done mate, Lisbon is a hard course. I did it in 2016 and the heat nearly killed me, id recommend avoiding Stockholm for this reason. It's in June and far too hot, think it was 36 degrees! Spring PB races, if you can fit enough training in time id recommend Seville in Feb, Barca in March or Vienna in April. Well done again

Forget the carb loading. Carbs merely spike blood sugar and you end up with highs and lows. Eat lots of good fat in the weeks before. Meat, fish, nuts, etc....the release of energy is much more consistent.
@RobbieKnox

Would you do an Ironman, Robbie? I’ve only just started running and the furthest I’ve gone so far is 12km but I think I could finish a half marathon without any training, maybe 3 months worth of training and eating well to finish a full one? Robbie, serious question. What's the chance of me for going from couch to running a marathon in the next 6 months?
@RobbieKnox
@RobbieKnox 9 ай бұрын
I'd say it's entirely possible. I'd start with the NHS couch to 5k programme that takes 9 weeks, then do a 16 week beginners marathon training schedule. When I did my first marathon I struggled to do 5k at the start so it's doable, you just really need to stick to the training.
