Your recipes were simple, straightforward and spot on, as was your presentation and delivery of your content. I only wish other video makers knew this blueprint.

Got a bag of limes from Costco, juiced, strained and put into ice cube trays. Store them in a zip top. 3/4 oz each using my ice cube trays. Ready for instant use. To mix things up I will use Blue Curacao. It looks cool in a martini glass.

That was an excellent report!!! I especially appreciated the part about the Pierre Ferrand contain oak so you don't want it watery. I never knew that! I always make either the "OG" margarita or the Cadillac. I prefer the "OG" margarita on hot days like here in Los Angeles right now, especially if I'm outside on the deck. But in the evenings or in the cooler temps, turn to the Cadillac. Sometimes, on the Cadillac I will use St Germain elderflower liquor instead of agave nectar. I prefer to use Olmeca Altos tequila, but sometimes I use Tanteo Jalapeno tequila when I want some bite to it. I never use Cointreau, I always use Pierre Ferrand. I used to think you had to use fresh squeezed lime juice. But sometimes the limes are not consistent and I've found a substitute which in my opinion is better! I mix equal parts "Nellie & Joe's Key West Lime Juice" with "Volcano Lime Burst". I used to drink a lot! Well, actually I still DO drink a lot, but I've narrowed my booze choices to 6 staples. 1. Margarita 2. Whisky Sour (with 100 proof rye) 3. El Presidente (with aged rum) 4. Boulevardier 5. Rum and Coke 6. Batanga

I think it's pretty funny how bartenders "invent" some recipes. Julio the bartender clearly just ran out of Orange Liqueur one night, while making margaritas and called it a "Tommy's Margarita." Funnily enough, it's actually a weaker cocktail, because it doesn't have the additional alcohol😂

Two quick questions... Can Cointreau take the place of the Dry Curacao, are they alike? Also, how does Silver Tequila differ from Blanco? Thanks for the video!!
@robbreport Жыл бұрын
Silver and blanco are interchangeable terms. Pretty much you want an unaged tequila when the recipe is calling for one of those. And Cointreau definitely can take the place of Dry Curacao. It's a little bit sweeter than the Pierre Ferrand, but both work, it really just comes down to personal preference.

why is he straining the first margarita that he poured into coup glass? is it for the fresh squeezed lime juice? Does it leave any segments from squeezing?
@CheezToasti325 күн бұрын
Because he served it straight, so he wanted to ensure that no ice chips from the shaker made it into the glass to prevent any dilution and give the margarita a smoother texture as you drink it.

What’s best for is for people to be consistent, you put recipes on the screen for the fist and second drink and then just blow the recipe off for the third one.

I used to travel from Hong Kong to Manila for business frequently, on arrival on a friday evening and checked in, my 1st stop was always the hotel bar for a couple of their Margarita's. They would take a chilled cocktail glass and frost the rim with crushed salt, 1 cointreau, 2 Tequila and freshly squeezed Calamansi juice ( a bit more intense lime) shaken then poured without the ice. The salt would offset the strong lime and the alcohol would hit the back of the throat. 3 of these would set me up for an evening in Manila!! Best margarita's I ever had whilst travelling from ME to USA.
