Who like a Tequila Sunrise?! Who has tried this grenadine tip?!?! 👇👇
@thewhiskeyreport14124 жыл бұрын
I tried floating for the first few goes and it had a tendency to sink anyways. Putting it on the bottom is definitely a good hack so long as you do agitate it just a bit with the barspoon. I found that by saving part of the pour for a float of pure OJ/Spirit mix I was able to get a really nice 3 tone effect.
@CocktailCards4 жыл бұрын
Yea, being so viscous the grenadine should sink eventually, but wont give you a perfect gradient. That's why I like this technique , and having to make it about 30 times a day, it really does speed up the process! However, with homemade grenadine it may not sink as well as store bought ultra sugary grenadine, so pouring over the top can be hit or miss! I like the saving a little mix for the end too, definitely a method that can work as well!

tried it and t works like a charm! i must scale the amount of grenadine for my glass as it has a bit less volume, or perhaps my grenadine simply wont completely dissolve on the bottom. it lefts this bottom line of syrup which does not look nice.

Yup! You can use pretty much any tequila you like for this one, so Cuervo gold will do just fine. Grenadine really varies from brand to brand. If you look in the bottle and don’t see anything growing in it, then it should be just fine!

@CocktailCards2 жыл бұрын
Orange/Cherries are all up to your own preference. I'm not a huge maraschino cherry fan, so i left it off. As far as the sweetness, the grenadine should have some tartness, but yea it's pretty much supposed to be a sweet drink. Try it with lime and see if you like it better though!

Usually, just stir, not shake orange juice and tequila, but that is good advice for grenadine!
@CocktailCards3 жыл бұрын
Yea, I talked about that in the video. You typically want to shake citrus for full mixture, and also proper dilution. But this has become one of the "lazy bartender" drinks where they made it popular to not even do that. Either way, this drink is so simple you could really do either, and be totally fine. Which is why I said you don't have to shake if you really don't want too. But I want the best version of every drink on here! :)
