The frame and axle assembly look good. Very Glad that Hector was not seriously injured when the axle fell. Too bad about the chips on the axle but it's good that no one was hurt.

Fact: The sprinkler heads in the paint booth, should have bags over them. This is to protect them from paint build-up. (they don't work with paint on them) The bags should be replaced before paint build-up. I used paper bags, but plastic lunch is also used.

Those bolts are cadmium plated; that's what gives them the golden color. The cadmium provides anti-galling, lubricity, and rust resistance.

That van is starting to look super sick all painted up. Less then a week left and hasn't even been tested yet is scarry though. I'm sure it all turned out great though. And super glad Hector was ok. I thought for sure he would have had a broken bone or dislocated something with that axle slamming him to the ground like that.

You can touch up some powder coats with a heat gun. You have to heat up area to be touched up first then dust the powder over the spot needing touched up and heat it a bit more carefully to finish melting the powder and then let cool slowly.

I think its funny to paint an engine block black, when it's going to end up that way anyway. I heard manufacturers used to paint the block bright colors to make leaks easier to see.. looks great so far in the video

The bolts as received appear to be zinc plated with a yellow/iridescent chromate conversion coating applied. Zinc is used as corrosion prevention, hope the.ceracote passes a similar corrosion prevention specification.

The gold bolts are actually Cadmium plated, you really do NOT need to sand blast them before painting.

I have a sneaking suspicion that your 'gold' bolts are in fact zinc or cadmium plated and passivated. You have removed the passivation and they are now just plated but the plating will in time oxidise back to the gold color
