I drive for a living and live and drive in central and northern parts of NH. No traffic here. I train people for my work and everyone is jealous of the open roads where we can just cruise. No issues. I LOVE it!!

I used to live about 10 minutes outside a city of 90,000, it was horrible. I grew up there, back when it was less than 30,000. Now, I live in a county with a population density of less than 1 person per square mile, and I love it here. Traffic jams usually involve road work, parades, or cattle drives. And the nearest city is an hour drive away.

I'd trade a kidney to live in Sweden or Norway or Iceland. Especially during the summer. Then again I'd trade my other kidney to live in a village on the Pacific coast of Mexico during the winter. Both tricky for a working class US American to engineer. Maybe I'll put up a classified ad to set up some marriage for citizenship trade scheme. Doubt either need more people that fix buildings.

I know it doesn't seem right, but just try putting a twist or two in those ratchet straps. They will never flap, hum or vibrate. Even if you think you're getting them tight enough that they don't vibrate, if you keep them flat they absolutely will. It makes them work exactly the same way as the reeds in a harmonica. Have you ever pulled a piece of paper or plastic (or a grass blade!) taught and blown on the edge? Same thing. Put a twist in it, though, and you'll never get a sound out of it. Look at the big rigs on the highway. Some of them don't know this and no matter how tight they get them, they'll hum and vibrate. But the ones in the know put a twist in those flat straps deliberately and they don't have to deal with abrasions from vibrating straps, or straps that fray prematurely. I know, I'm OCD and hate not having the straps nice and neat, but trust me, that's the worst thing you can do for your equipment and the load.

Not only is this man correct, but a twist in a strap to calm vibration isn't nearly as "not good" as most people think. The Fireball Tool channel tested several straps in several configurations and the results were surprising. Worth the watch if you have the time.

I live on the Idaho/Washington border in a town of 1200. Not a single stoplight. Crime is nearly non-existent, and I have no idea why anyone would want to live in a city. Both of my grown kids live in the Seattle area and every time I go to visit, I am amazed at just how awful things are over there. My job is 15 miles away in a town of 30k, and that is about tolerable. Started watching Matt's videos from the very beginning and have stopped by his shop on the way to Arizona for vacation. Love FabRats and Paul and Michelle. Slow to adopt Robby and his crew since Hillbilly is a bit frightening, but seeing Lincoln and the new Charger project made me subscribe. I love supporting good folks who make America great.

Black seems to be pretty much the standard livery for recovery teams trailers, from the looks of the KZbin channels I watch. The colour scheme for the Rokon trailer was agreed on by the viewers to Robby Layton's channel. Tbh I cannot envision Ed, at his time of life, making a habit of ripping up the trails, with his Rokon being hauled behind the Golden Nugget on its bespoke trailer. But I do imagine he'll be a huge hit with them at car shows and parades around Utah.

I'm in Pocatello, a couple hours north of SLC. I worked for a company based in Layton, and was constantly driving a company van from Poky to as south as St. George. Hated every minute from that bend at Tremonton to approximately the Ikea over on I15. But, over by that area there's a huge hill where I constantly saw people paragliding. That was always a super cool scene.

Fyi, I live in Scotland, over the other side of the North Atlantic Ocean, in Europe.(Google Maps is bound to have it for you) Here we have the right to roam, anywhere we please, ie without fear of ever being shot by anybody, with or without a badge, with or without mental 'issues'. If I don't want to be stuck in a traffic jam, I just go a different route. No problem. Green fields, forest, hills and open water, beautiful scenery, are only ever minutes away from my front door. Here we walk, or cycle, on our mountains, mainly for fresh air, healthy exercise, and to enjoy nature, rather than leave ugly wheel marks behind, scarring the amenity for others coming after us. We leave our cars behind, in a car park, getting away from traffic fumes and congestion. This might surprise you: but we take freedom and democracy as our fundamental birthrights over here. Education is based on our ability to learn, not ability to pay. Health provision in Scotland is not based on personal wealth, but on personal need. Medication, ambulances and medical treatment are provided free at the point of use, from the cradle to the grave. Nobody in Scotland is ever bankrupted by kid's school fees, or by medical bills. Moreover, in Scotland, our leaders do not get elected by whichever huge industrial corporation, or wealthy interest group, can be persuaded to part with the most amount of money, to fund their campaign. To thereafter live as their puppet, in their debt, to dance to whatever tunes they choose. Our Scottish parliament has more than 5 main parties, all competing to form a government, in a system designed to prevent a stale two party duopoly. If our parliamentarians want to get elected, they need to come up with a better manifesto than: I am not that other guy. So you were saying; what is it you think I should fix about my country?

A couple ladies got out of their cars in the middle of the street to talk about things. Pretty soon some other people came along and they got out to see what was going on...... The ladies left but the other people hung around to talk about that for maybe 5 minutes....... Someone noticed that the local cop had just turned the corner at the end of the street so everybody hopped in their cars and left. We will probably talk about that for months. Yep, we had some excitement....

Lots of people come visit to use the lake but they generally don't go out side the city limits, so not in my neighborhood. I also live by an airport, but I love airplanes and used to own my own plane and fly a lot. Rural life is the best.
