Awesome. I have just started too. I'm 40year old woman and when I turned 40 I went bugger it. I'm not getting any younger and I love it. Not great, I do have a teacher as I don't know anything about reading or play music. I'm enjoying all of it though. Well besides not doing it earlier and the tips of my fingers haven't quite got used to playing just yet.

Rob, another great video! When my youngest son started playing (on a 3/4 scale Squire Strat), I started watching your videos to get to understand the gear, etc. When he needed a full size guitar we purchased a PRS Standard 24 based on a lot of research, but what started us on that path was the video you and the Captain did on the PRS Standard line. He is loving the guitar, and I am loving watching him grow as a musician. Thanks for the countless hours of entertainment and knowledge you have provided over the years.

I was just at Riff City Guitars (their New Hope, MN store) yesterday and I did what any red-blooded birthday girl would do: I grabbed a $2500 PRS, plugged it into a $1500 Victory V40 head and a $1000 cab and had an absolutely GRAND time road-testing pedals. Went home with a Tone City Kaffir Lime overdrive pedal!

To be honest, sometimes I think my favorite guitar of the four (3 electric, 1 acoustic) that I own is my black Squier Bullet Mustang. It's a stripped-down little thing: no frills, all thrills, fast little short-scale neck. The only thing I really miss with it are the phase switches - but I have a friend who's got access to a CNC machine if/when I ever want to fix that.

Yeah don't forget the EG series they even had pickguards And ignoring pickups the early CEs and swamp ash models were very fendery

But the 305 isnt trying to look like a strat. It looks like a PRS with different pickups but is still completely PRS. The Silver Sky pulls no punches in what it is trying to be which is not a PRS.
@judosailor6 жыл бұрын
Funny you say that because I immediately thought, why didn’t they make the Silver Sky like this? Probably would have avoided all the controversy and given the guitar world something more unique.
@johnbach23806 жыл бұрын
PRS did a strat looking guitar years ago. I.E. the PRS EG, PRS DG3. And who the hell doesn't build a 'strat' like guitar? Suhr, Jackson, Schecter, Anderson, G and L, Chapman guitars, *Insert boutique guitar maker here*. You can name thousands. No one bat's an eye but this PRS Silver Sky... hooo boy... devil devil shun shun. Its hilarious the 'negative' response.
@PaulMeUnder6 жыл бұрын
John Bach True, good point. I think maybe the expectation on PRS is greater than on other boutique makers but at the end of the day all they have done, is given the guitar buyers out there, more choice. How can that be a bad thing?

Hello there, I absolutly loved this video, like your other video in general, and I would find it awesome if you could make a video about the guitars or other instruments that inspired you to make music, the ones you had a true connection with, what kind of vibes it has, the emotion that it procure with a little kind of documentary of it history, when you got it, why it and not the next one, if you still have it or why you seperated yourself of it. if the video is not to long it could also includes, or maybe for an other video, the guitars you don't owned or even played but still does the same, inspired you just by the artist playing it, the feedback you heard aroud or just their reputation, like the guitars that made you want to start playing it.
