Hello Rob,congratulations on all the great videos that you posted.I'm a big Mel Torme fan and I've been listening to his records for years.For all Donny Osborne fans I can really recommend listening to his work with Mel Torme's trios.For me this the most perfect small group drumming ever,Perfect sound,control,swing playing the big band like Torme arrangements with drive and fire in a chamber music setting.A true master drummer. It's easy to tell that Buddy Rich was his mentor--D.O. does primarily snare work, uses tons of buzz rolls, paradiddlediddles, even has as similar posture as B.R. did. This gent is amazing. And what a cool thing--my 13 year old percussionist son will be attending a drumming master technique class given by Mr. Osborne. What an opportunity!!! Keep kicking it, Donny!

I actually know the guy who bought that kit after Donny Osbourne finished playing it. The guys my teacher and the kit sounds great. That snare drum sounds beautiful.
