@@auralxtc I don't doubt the fit and finish will be an issue. As demonstrated in this video, the small blue piece annoyed Rob because it wasn't colour coded so he sanded it off. No body else would have cared or even noticed it, but Rob knows it's there and it bothers him so he fixes it. With that level of detail involved, this thing should be show car worthy.

Hey Rob you should borrow a cat trap to TNR the cat. TNR stands for Trap Neuter Release. That cat is likely a female due to the color pattern and also doesn't have a notch taken out of the ear so it would appear to not be neutered yet. Since feral cats that have been neutered have a small notch in the top of the ear corresponding to its gender. Female cats are the most important to neuter since they can get pregnant every 4 weeks or so and that leads to an overpopulation problem very quick. Since this cat is warming up to you keep feeding it and get it to a schedule of expecting to be fed. Then don't feed it the day before you want to trap it, bait the trap with the food it likes. Be sure to have a towel handy to cover the trap to keep the cat calm after its trapped. Don't leave the trap unattended, don't try move the cat from the trap and take it to a neuter clinic /vet and once the sedative wears off and the cat appears to be normal then release it at night where you trapped it. - My gf runs a non-profit cat rescue in Hawaii - we have a huge overpopulation problem with feral cats. for more info look up Cat People of Oahu on FB

Rob, On the C5 corvette there are 3 white rubber stoppers on the back of the headlight, when they wear, it will keep the headlight up, reach behind and flip each on 180 degrees and it should allow them to park in their normal position.

Hey Rob if you have aluminum and it is anodized you can unanodize it with greased lighting cleaner. All you have to do is soak it for a few hours or maybe overnight I’ve done it with RC chassis and they come out fantastic

To adjust both low and high-speed pump pressure you would need a variable geometry pump, nice thought but not achievable with your current setup.. An rpm activated pressure relief valve is a viable alternative but could be a dangerous situation if the valve sticks open for some reason..

A trick for pressing out u joints if you dont have a press is a piece of steel with a hole for a relief cut for the u joint to slide into and a socket for the other side and use your vice as a press

Rob, you have it in a vise. next time use some sockets large enough to accept the cap and small enough to fit threw, use the small one to press the bearing cap into the large socket using the vise. flip it and press on the yoke to do the other side .

honestly rob, trans and drivetrain is my bread and butter on semis and that was hands down the easiest way to do ujoints. Personally I would have just replaced the ujoints while they were out

Next tool for the shop: A good press. That's what you needed for that U-joint. Or even your bench vise would have likely been able to press those caps out. put a big socket on one side to accept the cap, and a smaller socket on the other side to push the cap in. Just like you did, but with slow steady pressure.
