www.robelliscinematography.com/downloads - download the full 46 minute mini course + all 5 individual parts for just £15! Colour graded with: www.dehancer.com - get 10% off Dehancer using ROBELLIS at checkout www.patreon.com/robelliscinematography - support me on Patreon for extra content, informal breakdowns of my work and extended KZbin videos - including the entire Lighting with Colour mini course available to steam now! There are a couple of sections in this part where the voice over audio goes a little funky when viewed on a phone. TV, headphones, speakers all seem to be fine, so possibly something mono related - I haven't been able to figure this one out! So headphones are recommended if viewing on a phone!

Day to Night was always a mystery to me...showing the long exposure night shot and how similar it was to a day shot blew me away! It's incredible to think of shooting a bunch of shots for different times of day from one lighting setup! Thanks so much!

Ive been lighting and shooting film and video for three decades. If newbies would just pay attention and absorb your lighting tutorials, they would become much more creative and possibly get more work as cinematographers. These techniques are also time savers, and subsequently, budget savers!!! EXCELLENT SERIES

@@RobEllisCinematographer You bet brother! I’m a Sag actor and have been on many Hollywood level movie sets. And your breakdown of lighting helps to make things make so much more sense. An avid filmmaker myself, I have a pretty vast knowledge of lighting techniques but you put a whole different spin on your presentation of it! Awesome!
@RobEllisCinematographer
@RobEllisCinematographer 2 жыл бұрын
@@Direct19681 That's awesome to hear that my breakdowns are helping things make more sense - I'm sure the setups of these techniques are a little more DIY than you're used to haha! But the ideas behind them I would hope are the same! And I'm glad to hear you like the way I present the ideas, that process seems to be something that intuitively makes sense to me, so I'm glad it's received well by others. Thanks so much man!! :)

I freakin' love these lighting videos, Rob. I bought the Nanlite Forza 500 because of you, and I've implemented your techniques into several videos that I've shot. Lighting is FAR more important than I ever realized, and your videos have shown that to me, resulting in an instant increase in quality of our content. Bless your face ❤

@@ImaginationFolder ya its just bad education and misinformation. tools are tools and saying a new tool will make you Deakins or Hoytema is frankly retarded. sorry, no other way to put it. now camera techniques and lighting techniques are the way.
