Ive been lighting and shooting film and video for three decades. If newbies would just pay attention and absorb your lighting tutorials, they would become much more creative and possibly get more work as cinematographers. These techniques are also time savers, and subsequently, budget savers!!! EXCELLENT SERIES

@@RobEllisCinematographer You bet brother! I’m a Sag actor and have been on many Hollywood level movie sets. And your breakdown of lighting helps to make things make so much more sense. An avid filmmaker myself, I have a pretty vast knowledge of lighting techniques but you put a whole different spin on your presentation of it! Awesome!
@RobEllisCinematographer2 жыл бұрын
@@Direct19681 That's awesome to hear that my breakdowns are helping things make more sense - I'm sure the setups of these techniques are a little more DIY than you're used to haha! But the ideas behind them I would hope are the same! And I'm glad to hear you like the way I present the ideas, that process seems to be something that intuitively makes sense to me, so I'm glad it's received well by others. Thanks so much man!! :)

I freakin' love these lighting videos, Rob. I bought the Nanlite Forza 500 because of you, and I've implemented your techniques into several videos that I've shot.
