THIS is why I like reaction channels. I used to LOVE Robert Cray, but at some point he dropped off my radar and I forgot about him. Thank you for bringing him back to me. He is a soulful, smooth blues artist. That was fantastic.

I grew up listening to Robert with Strong Persuader and such, in the nineties I guess I was on his radar, but then in high school I clicked back in with Take Your Shoes Off and Shoulda Been Home, and those were magnificent to me. He's one of those musicians...I like to say for the rare folks, his face ought to be on currency - he's such a national treasure. No one sounds like him, and no one could. He has made such a singular impact on music that I can't believe I even got to hear him in his lifetime. Absolutely inimitable.

Generally, this is his best blues ballad. He typically ends his concerts with this tune. 2024 is his 50th year performing. Please go check him and his band out, in person.

He is one of my favorites. Nice reaction. Next is" The one in the middle", another good track is "Will you do that for me".

Lot's of good Robert Cray. Of his slow ones, try "don't break this ring", "leave well enough alone", " passing by", or "because of me". Among others. Of his more up tempo ones, try "smoking gun", " phone booth" or " stay go".

Robert Cray could very easily be the most underrated blues guitarist to ever walk the earth.
