I am the founder of a movement of forest dwelling people in the heavily logged coastal mountain forests of Oregon. We have had our urine tested before and then immediately after the timber industry follows every clear cut with the aerial spraying of pesticides including glyphosate and atrazine. Immediately after each spraying our urine level of those pesticides spikes. At the time I founded the movement to fight this aerial spraying near homes and schools the head of the EPA for Oregon and ten total states in the Pacific Northwest was Elin Miller, the former CEO of a multinational pesticide maker called Arista Life Sciences. That is was Robert Kennedy means when he refers to ‘captive agencies’. FYI The first name of that atrazine scientist who found it turned male frogs to females is Tyrone. This interview of RFK was awesome! Thanks Rick and Tetragrammaton for creating a space for intelligent discussion. I pray, hope, and deeply affirm that the number of persons listening to this illuminating interview with RFK will increase by tens of thousands. My name is Day and my friend Renee wants to add: amen!

Mr Rubin, your podcast is faaaantastic and this particular episode contains information that everybody should have access to. Adding subtitles, enabling KZbin native automatic subtitle feature or including a transcript of the episode is a must. This needs to reach as many people as possible and not having subtitles makes it difficult for those who are not native English speakers (as many in the comments are pointing out) plus all the hearing-impaired people is left behind. I say this as a citizen of the world (I'm not even from your country-I'm Canadian). This must reach as many people as possible.

The single greatest podcast in history! If you want to get into the meat and potatoes go to 40:00. Also Dr Kruse started as an oral surgeon, then neurosurgeon with over 10000 surgeries on spines and brains. And now is a physicist and studies quantum biology!!!! He absolutely educated PHD ophthalmologist Dr Andrew Huberman on Rick Rubin’s past podcast. A friendly education let’s say, which Huberman edited out 3 hours of a 9 hour podcast.

I’m curious how one can say that we need a truly free market system where a business or industry has to pay for all of its negative externalities, but also say that it’s crazy that the fda is funded by pharma. What other way is there for pharma to pay for its regulation 1:26:27
@christalee36432 ай бұрын
How about thinking outside of the box?! The FDA have to be completely separated from the Medical Industry it is suppose to regulate and control that follow the rules! There cannot be money-ties between these 2 organizations! Because then there will be more corruption and less regulation and even lesser following of rules..! Exactly as the situation is today. How you fix it? You transfer the "paying of money"-part to another department that is inside of the Congress or you put together a type of committee of some sort that only have to do with this "paying of money"-part...! You need to seperate the FDA,the money and the Medical Industry or nothing will ever work as intended and the corruption will never stop! Think outside ot the box.👍
@jamesruport26082 ай бұрын
@@christalee3643 I’m not fully seeing it. The medical industry needs to pay for its negative externalities and regulation, so you say they give money to a congressional treasury, then they allocate it to the fda?
@christalee36432 ай бұрын
@@jamesruport2608 I am not 100% exactly sure how the details of it all is today..,but I do know that the Medical Industry pays money to the FDA..,and that cannot continue if the FDA also is the one who is regulating the industry..., because there will never be an optimal and good regulation happening then.. I am not saying that the Medical Industry should not pay,-of course they shall,but I think it should be to someone else than the FDA.. That is all. The FDA should only have the regulation-part. And not have anything to do with money. This is how we do it in Norway. The department that is doing the regulating,does not have anything to do with money. Another department is handling the money-part. We keep it seperate.
