Usually the true greatness of artists only happens after they have checked out. Hunter and Garcia have always amazed me as unique characters since coming across them in 66 in SF. Among the best luck I have ever had.

Thank You! Thank You Kevin Tobin for posting this! Today marks three years since Robert Hunter passed away. And here he is playing on 9/23 in 1979! What a great show! Hunter's lyrics mean so much to me and I just love his work. It's wonderful to access a show like this! I wonder if some of his old records will be reissued? I hope his wife and kids are doing well out there in this big world. Hugs and shouts to all the deep Hunter Heads!
