The main problem is that the car designers sort of got stuck at a certain point or just made the car worse. Williams was looking good in all of the testing days this year. The failure of the last year was mostly Paddy Lowes fault in my opinion.

It was morning, track was perhaps not ideal for hotlaps , hence no driver was doing it, and it was certainly a low fuel run, giving him between 0.35-0.5 seconds a lap. That what I remember so good, when Hamilton says more then 10 years ago, Kubica was the strongers oponent from all the guys in karting and was really really hard to fight with him. And that says one of the best driver in F1 well is means something I think and that is the proof of quality and skill.

Robert's employment was favorable for Williams. The story of a return to the queen of motorsport like from Hollywood, additionally strong sponsorship facilities in the form of Orlen. When the team is at the bottom, such stories are very favorable image. Russell could also benefit from it because he was "verified" only in relation to Robert (the legend of this sport, which even Alonso said is the best in the rate) because the rest of the rate was far ahead. However, he needed the help of the whole Williams team, in the form of better parts, and also a Mercedes which probably provided him with better engines or the same "mods" of the engine (it's about mapping the engine and the possibility of using its power) to beat Kubica in statistics. Stats only qualifications (21: 0), because in races where racecraft counts (e.g. during the start and first laps), not Robert's power was better. Usually, it was only after the first few laps in the Kubica car that there was no power, which could be seen in the data in differences, for example, the maximum speed. Even in the team before the race starts joking when Kubica overtakes him. And back to qualifications, and why Robert could not show his true speed, a great example is the China GP at Suzuka, where before the qualifications an old wing was put in (the decision was issued by the bosses, because Robert wanted to leave him a new front wing), because with the new one it was too fast, or an example when Kubica says after qualifying (which race I don't remember, certainly at the end of the season) that after such a qualifying lap in BMW he would be in the first row, in Renault he would be in the top 6, and in Williams he will be last. Now it was only at Alfie Romeo that he had the opportunity to show what Williams did not show him - pure speed. Do not judge F1 drivers only by the results, because in this sport politics plays too much a role. And very often in the interest of the "other party" it is difficult for one to make the other better. If Robert returns to the role of racing driver in F1, many may be very surprised. This man not once and twice showed that impossible for him does not exist, so let him act. Keep calm and support Kubica, and Let the drive do the talking. Forza Robert!

My opinion? Only Kubica can stop Hamilton that`s why mercedes didn`t let him show what he can in williams. Every best parts of the car landed in russell car and all shit parts landed in Kubica`s car. That was whole the season 2019. They took money from Orlen and used Robert only for that but they never invest in him. Now he can show the real timing because alfa romeo has no connections with mercedes and because they have respect for him. Williams has respect only for british drivers. Williams ruined Kubica`s carrier but he will back and show everyone that he is still the same driver like many years ago. Hamilton can bit every guiness record but he always won in the best car. If somebody's up for comparisons, let me give you two of those: 1. Kubica slower than Russell on the same set only by 0.1 not 1.2 like last year. Williams stronk, but hard on engines (test pawns for Mercedes units reliability?). Anyway George went almost 2 seconds faster than in 2019, so we could assume they have stepped up their game. Even if you take tyre into consideration, still, there is at least one second gained there. 2. Kubica fastest out of the Alfa drivers. And all of them went on C5 [edit]: Sorry, Antonio went on C4, but was 0.5 slower. He has it, and this 2019 season at Williams was a huge boost to his understanding of modern formula one (even if the car was underperforming, you know, what I mean). But will he be able to show anything given the COVID-19 situation and practically half-season off? He's 35 and considering that people want Alonso to return, when he is 3 years older than Kubica, he has at least 4-5 seasons of driving. I think the key here is how this season is going to unfold, with less races, there will be less FP1s for Robert, so he has to use them to the fullest.

Kimi will probably retire, although he is still strong and loves to race, and for Gio it's gonna be only his second "full" season (full, yeah :P), so he shoud have the chance to prove himself. Robert should focus 100% on DTM, there are going to be some races in this series for sure, and he can fully prove his value there, against really good drivers. If he does that, Alfa seat for 2021 is his.

A kolejna sprawa nie nazywajmy fw42 bolidem, to byla nieudana, niskobudżetowa, zaniedbana, konstrukcja z wieloma przestarzałymi rozwiązaniami z błedami konstrukcja nadająca sie conajwyzej jako auto demonstracyjne. Wake up, people! Times set in Barcelona doesn't mean anything, we can't make assumptions out of it. The first two (maybe three) races is what counts for the first part of the season in terms of predictions. Kubica still has speed, but his time, sadly, is past in F1. I bet he's around because he's got experience and his salary is not high, so it's a good trade off for the team.
