It annoys me in some respects if only because of the blatant corruption. However, while emotionally I may be irritated I logically understand why he's trying to not usurp his integrity. Yet I also don't believe that's going to matter at all to Republicans. They're not going to hold the POTUS accountable for anything - no matter how corrupt or evil.

I watched the entire Mueller hearing and the most annoying thing was, was when the senators basically quoted his report back to him and when he didn't answer fast enough about something he wrote on page 142 paragraph 4(example)... they were like "How dare you not know your own report?!" Or "I'm just quoting what you said, do you not remember?!" Brah. He had an entire team help him come up with the report. I'm sure that thing was checked a thousand times before being submitted. Just cos he doesn't recall every single line doesn't mean he didn't do a thorough job.

Johnny Almager There was and is no shortage of suspicious behavior surrounding Trump and Russia. There was plenty to investigate and produce a 400 page report on. You are exploiting the terms used in the original comment to alter it’s meaning and point, which is that it took an entire team of investigators to create a volume not even read by the majority of the population - yet people seemed to expect Mueller to have every word of it memorized and legally parsed in the context of each individual question.

Congress is more of a problem than the Presidency. If Congress were not partisan hacks and actually worked for the good of the entire country over limited agendas, impeachment would be more likely, especially with what President Orange has pulled. There is a check in place for a President who breaks the law; that's why impeachment exists. But if Congress can't do it, that's not a failure of the law, that's a failure of Congress.

The point of the testimony was to have Mueller directly answer questions of the report. Not necessarily glean new information or cause a spectacle. A vast majority of people will never read the report, and so they get their synopsis of it from news outlets. This was an attempt to allow no spin on that reporting by having the man himself succinctly answer question about the reports content. I don't think he hears it enough, but I would personally thank Robert Mueller for enduring this shit show of the last 2 years to try and perform his job.

Most average people don't own any stock, or if they do it's almost entirely through a retirement portfolio - I have an ETF (exchange trade fund) and not even half of it is in stocks, its mostly made up of bonds. I'm not rich either, I'm just barely scraping by and I save my money in an ETF because there's no brick and mortar bank around here that offers interest rates comparable to the rate of inflation, which is 1% per year, if your interest rate is less than that you are actually losing money. Either way, once you peel off the gold foil, you'll see the economy right now is really just a polished ball of bullshit.

@@xy6845 Thanks. Just wish more people would stop wasting so much time buying into the loose cannon buffoon act. Not that he isn't a loose cannon buffoon, but he very much benefits from all of the time spent mocking his inability to string coherent sentences together or close umbrellas, or how all he does is sit around and watch TV and yell about it on social media like a grumpy old man. These things are all true, but they create a public image that he uses to obfuscate his intentions and make his words feel unimportant. I don't think for a minute he is some master strategist, but he has the instincts of a well practiced grifter. Those instincts combined with the enormous power of the presidency, an entire political party willing to look the other way until lines have already been crossed, openly inviting foreign interference, and his (and his family) potentially facing prosecution the moment he leaves office; Those factors together should make all of us take his words and actions deadly seriously. He is a comically inept and his administration is a farce worthy of ridicule, yes. But the absurdity often seems to take center stage is in how he is portrayed (it is great for ratings after all) and in effects downplays the seriousness of the precarious place this country is in right now. It concerns me greatly that the media and the public have either failed to learn any lessons from the mistakes of the past, or are cynically willing to disregard them for the sake of entertainment value. Few people are acting or speaking with the urgency and focus that is required. It is worrisome... End of rant #2

I now have it in book form and it has underlines, exclamation points and numerous side notes of my own. One of my colleagues recently asked me why I spend so much time ingesting this information. My answer was simple. “ Because I love and care about my country. Because I don’t want to witness my Democracy fall. Because I want to know more about the criminal in the WH and just how traitorously he had to behave in order to get there.” The Mueller Report matters, folks.It explains to a tee how corrupt this president and his administration are. It also CLEARLY lays out for Congress an easy roadmap for impeachment!

Crack a history book? Bill Clinton WAS impeached but not removed from office. The Dems refused to convict him and that ended the impeachment. Search it.
@erikaiam8864

@@DudleyaSetchellii just to add to what you said, the dems and some republicans, like John McCain for example, voted against removing him from office. So they can impeach trump but it doesn't necessarily mean he would be removed from office and has nothing to do with him being indicted for obstruction of justice.

Not really. Same sort if thing happened to Clinton. What he did was absolutely wrong, and the republicans impeached his ass for it. Did they do it because they actually cared about the law? No. It was all partisan politics. This is the same sort of situation, except the republicans are much better at weaving a narrative for their own purpose. Also, Trump is refusing to testify under oath because everyone knows he will perjure if he does. I fucking hate this two party system bullshit. One side wins, while the American people lose.

MagnuMagnus it was actually 2 counts of perjury (1 of them being to a grand jury), 1 count of obstruction of justice, and 1 being an abuse of power. He was found guilty of the single count of obstruction and a single count of perjury to a grand jury and was impeached....
