@@darkworld9850 Fifty Shades of Grey got 3 movies, Twilight has 5 movies (2 movies for the last book) just because a book franchise is bad doesn't mean it can't be a movie franchise. Also this was during the Young Adult movies craze so there were a lot of YA novels that were adapted into movies so they were cashing in on it with twilight.

He’s basically saying “after the fact of being cast I realized that not only did the author write it based on a fantasy she had, but this older woman approved of me being cast specifically to literally role-play in her wet dream movie adaptation.” He’s saying he felt creeped out as an actor when he realized that. Imagine if it was an older man as the author wrote a book and cast a young twenty something girl and then admitted it was a book about a sexual fantasy he had. You can understand how the actor would feel super uncomfortable with it. And I’m sure he’s seeing that more now that he’s older.

Robert is a totally ungrateful pussy loser here. Stephenie Meyer is just an ordinary happy mother who wrote a wish fulfillment book where she let all her love into the text and dared to live out that fantasy. Robert himself chose the role - became a multimillionaire of it and is more successful than any of us others will ever be. And yet he complains about Stephenie and calls her crazy. Twilight isn't perfect - and the movies are a complete disappointment - but Meyer's story has made many people happy and opened doors to fiction in literature, so I can't grasp all the hate and condescension.

They are not Rob fans anyway to begin with. They are just twitards if they take everything he says so seriously and when obviously here he does have a point though. I know Meyer did confess in some interview that she had a wet dream and that she was picturing herself as Bella. So Rob was right about her. And besides SM is really rude anyways, she has no respect for Rob especially towards the end of the franchise. I know this watching one of those BD comic-con panels they had (when I was still invested in that twishit franchise which i wish I never had) and she was asked about the future of midnight sun and she just brushed off that question totally and asked Rob in front of so many people to go pen something about it instead SMH. Class is something Meyer can learn from J.K Rowling that's for sure. Maybe not all twi-fans are terrible (even if they are not really leaving a good impression right now especially for the most part with their intrusive obsessive behaviour about Robert's private life) but I did see one of them post a video about how rude Meyer was in her attitude towards Rob at that panel and let's hope that twi fan is at least one of the rational ones out there not stuck in some fantasy like Meyer's wet dream.

Twilight is like James bond for females. It's everything what is popularly considered to be a woman's fantasy the deep dark dirty and the laughable. Never liked twilight never been a fan but why hate on women's fantasies and laud the same sht when it comes to men. Men can imagine themselves as the alpha and imagine the most dreamy women as counterparts and make movies about it for decades and if a young girls want to do that that's so weird and so uncomfortable and shameful. Right!
@skyworm8006
@skyworm8006 3 жыл бұрын
No it's not. James Bond is his own character and it's not really pure sexual fantasy. There are plenty of books intended for males that are purely that but they're practically unknown, not widely read, and don't have a film adaptation. The reason you suggest James Bond here is because you don't know of any male equivalent. I would say the real male equivalent is basically just pornographic photos and videos. The thing that is weird for Robert here is that it's just a kind of porn, which is alright on its own, but it's been treated as literature and adapted to film, which he finds creepy.

It makes sense. If you're writing a story from one character's pov, and you are the one standing behing that character, pulling the strings and speaking through them, then yeah, some of you or a lot of you is going to come shining through.

In the Blade comics and films vampirism is a virus that drives them to feed, in Buffy and Angel vampires are bodiless demons that possess human corpses, the Spider-Man villain Morbius was a vampire created by science instead of the supernatural and he first became a vampire while trying to cure himself of a blood disease but after a failed experiment involving a serum with bat DNA his skin drained of colour, he grew fangs and developed a thirst for blood which he drinks to replenish the blood cells his disease is killing. What if someone rises up againt the powers that would be? What if a vampire and human fell in love? ) and the characters and story world take on a life of there own from there. But after seeing this and similar interviews, I have more respect for him because he's not saying he's great just because he's in it, he's giving an honest opinion. Lautner said if he had read the books he'd be a fan but I think that's nosense, the only people who enjoy it are mostly younger girls because they want to imagine themselves as Bella, I doubt a straight adolescent male would find that great, especially considering the lack of actual action or excitement that should come from a vampire/werewolf book, and how badly written it was. I consider myself an... *avid* daydreamer, possibly more-so than Stephenie Meyer, but I couldn't *imagine* writing down something so embarrassing and personal and trying to profit off of it. These are the kinds of things you don't tell anyone but your lover and only because they egged you on one night when you were really drunk. It's personal, it's private, and it's weird.
