Such talented players all. Particularly loved the extraordinary piano in there, and of course Albert who looks like Doc from 'Back go the Future ' and plays suitably otherworldly guitar. No pedals, gizmos, distortion, just pure hot picking - Maestro!

if you watch for it , mr. Lee actually plays the guitar upside down/inside out/and backwards all at once . He always has. . . .even clapton,beck, les paul and stevie ray couldnt do that. truly fkng amazing !

Sorry . . .I was generalizing re: Albert . . . .he tends to stand down somewhat when guesting / accompanying other artists . . . .but Im so much of a fan that i threw that comment out there in a misplaced fashion , . . . .his solo stuff fits my description more aptly. . . . . .esp. "Country Boy" . . . .but his work on Carlene Carter's " I Fell IN Love" also fits the bill . . . . play safe amigo !

I am very lucky as I was on a little 4 piece group with Albert in 59 when he was just starting out .I still have those early pics ( black and white ) hardly anyone did colour pics then .He had a Hofner committee as first electric back then.

Would you believe I was in a little rock band with Albert as about 16 way back in 59 and I was the singer .When Albert let rip even then we got guys standing round the stage watching him and he practically played with his back to the audience .We were forever trying to push him forward, but good as he was even then he was shy.i am 77 now but still have old black and white photos of those early days.

Saw Albert Lee "live" for the first time about 7 or 8 years ago, back in my hometown Culver City one summer night (weekly free concerts) and I was blown away...I had heard of him..but didn't know much about him...extraordinary, fantastic fluidity of his fingers.... ^/^
