What is your favorite lesson from "The Laws of Human Nature"? Let me know in the comments ⬇

I simply can't choose a single one...but the one that resonates is the law of envy...I am now a better judge of the envy attack & able to defend it...thanks boss 🙏

the fact that someone would insist that they're too good to have a dark side is a form of narcissism
@investornabil88256 ай бұрын
That's what narcissism is. They can't admit a flaw. They literally can't even if they wanted to. That's a very misunderstood concept.

The point he made at 2.25 that actions are a language. It’s very true but he said a sign of lateness is a sign of passive aggression. I would argue it’s a sign of something internal going on but it doesn’t necessarily have to do with the people around. For me, I’ve had an issue of running late but now that I’m out of my toxic relationship and I’m healing, this pattern of lateness has stopped and I’m able to thing more clearly and take my responsibilities more seriously. For me, my lateness has nothing to do with anyone I was late meeting or late to work, etc but it had to do with not making myself or my responsibilities a priority because I was prioritizing a toxic relationship instead.

8:20 Don’t take things personally - Robert’s comments about when someone says something negative to you or otherwise insults you most of the time that is a reflection of their own issues or something negative going on in their lives and has very little or nothing to do with you is so true from my experience. Long story (hopefully) short: when I was 15 a friend of mine’s parents went through a very acrimonious divorce which deeply scared him. He became very bitter and angry and took out his hostilities on me in large measure because he was envious of the stable and loving home I lived in. I was too young to understand how his parents’ divorce affected him and his behavior towards me was very hurtful. So now as a senior citizen whenever someone seems hostile or angry I don’t take it personally and try, if appropriate, to understand what issues that person is dealing with that makes them behave in such a negative way.

My favorite lesson is “don’t outshine the master”. This rule is applicable in a wide variety of situations, not just with the boss. A 2nd fav is that a mean person isn’t just mean or nasty once, they have a pattern of behavior, and it will show up over and over again.

Wow...thank you for explaining your feelings about moral superiority. I go to church to try and make sense of my difficult childhood and resulting mental torment....I always wondered why it offended people. Now I understand. I also understand why jesus taught humility.

The body language can not lie. Mastering the body language gives me more power than anything else. That's why I want face to face meetings instead of emails or messages. People tend to hide behind the social media, emails and messages but once u face them the mask falls and you see their true intentions.

Hello Robert I saw some video of you and instantly recognised I know some of the books you wrote and could instantly identify the style and was excited to find out a bit more. You peaked some interested in me and I wanted to research about fulfilment or the nature of human "happiness". I then went to audible and was looking how I could obtain a copy of your book and I saw I already own the book i wanted to look into and this made me very happy, so much so that I came here to tell you about it. Lg Grateful Person, thank you ❤

one of the most interesting & fruitful clicks that occurred to my I phone … I agree with everything said , yet, i find out that ( sometimes) those body postures , looks , facial expressions, mislead our value judgement because we don’t know what’s embedded in their psyche , what we grasp could be just a temporary state of mind , & could be judged as a state of mind … each one us judges the other , even as a child , for example, first day getting in a classroom some students, we like & others , we don’t like for no apparent reason, & they may turn out to be the best friends of the school year… 🤙🤙
@freespirit48093 ай бұрын
@RobertGreene5 if everyone agrees with me at 💯 % at all times, I definitely must not be saying something new … there was a time when I had more free time ,I used to read books of literature , and i was always looking for the critics about the book ,that kind of ‘ for & against’ made it enjoyable for me to see the two sides of the story ,to try to understand the other side of thinking , the other logic … TO LET U KNOW I LIKE YOUR BOOKS & IDEAS ; SENDING LOVE & RESPECT TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE CONTEMPORARY WRITERS ✍️

Some smaller mistakes and generalizations.... for example in some societies people are expected to smile to others even if you do not feel like, so you smile to make the other person happy without any further motive to "fake", also some people do micro expressions when they see you perhaps they would rather be alone or to avoid embarrassment, you do not need to take it personally thinking's that the person does not like you, etc, it is all about the moment and the things going on in their lives or the situation.
