Lifting weights is fine. But I believe that young men need to embrace physical activity in as many venues as possible. Look at the older men who are in shape and have never been to a gym. They cut grass, shovel snow, chop wood, walk everywhere, stand more, and carry more stuff. Young men yes lift weights but make moving a lifestyle. Stop sitting and eating crap.

One day when we were like 11 my friend ran to his mom after his father told him no about something, 10 minutes later he has a sitdown with us and said when we got older "NO ONE IS GOING TO COME SAVE YOU", your mother wont always be there for you. The way you described transforming aggression and competitiveness into positive energy resonates with the fundamental attribution error. I’ve seen clients who, when faced with their own aggressive tendencies, assumed they were simply “bad” people, instead of realizing it was how they were channeling their energy that mattered. Once we worked on redirecting that aggression toward personal growth and success, they began thriving. Your focus on using discipline and channeling masculine energy for good is exactly the kind of advice young men need to redefine their path. This video was truly inspiring!

Spiritually, masculine energy is simply energy that is to be EXPRESSED outward into the world. Well-adjusted humans (male, female, other) are a harmonious combination of BOTH masculine + feminine energy. Pedestalizing one over the other is counterproductive. We need BOTH of these energies to live successful and fulfilled lives. The imbalance is what's toxic. The use of any energy in low vibration is what's toxic. Think I might do a video sometime in the future further articulating what masculine energy is and how we might use it productively in our lives. Sounds like a wonderful series/conversation.

The way how i learned English was exactly the way how Robert learned French. I moved from Brazil to USA and put me in a position where i didn`t have any option about my communication. I needed to learn. Was super hard but i did it. But i believe that this Law is good until you reach a position that you are confortable and you become ok about that. I am working with Sales right now and one thing that i noticed is about consistency. That`s my problem because i don`t believe in Discipline, i believe in Obsession. If i am wrong about that, how to fix my perception and how to become more Disciplined? Thank you!

It’s so important to listen to a man who sounds like an old woman talk about masculinity
@martinpalm52 ай бұрын
this advice might work in the 60's, or through- the 2000's but it's not the 60's anymore. women aren't afraid of walking all over you to get what they want, there is no social repercussions for being a bad person for them anymore. Men on the other hand get punished for looking at women wrong these days. being a Gentlemen only work if women are gentlewomen too.

You should get out and talk to women in the real world. There are bad ones, but a lot of the women I interact with are not like this. Hope you find some too.
@tonygutermuth93472 ай бұрын
I disagree. Being a real masculine man involves having your values dictate your behavior. Strength is manifest through disciplined action consistent with values. Righteous values are independent of how someone else behaves. If you only treat well those who treat you well, you live their values instead of yours, giving them control of you!

@@francobaudino6938 You sorta proved his point by attempting to make fun of him and talking down at him in a condescending way for telling the truth (which you don't like and thus deem it to be internet nonsense). Not only does it make you look like you're projecting, but you're using an ad hominem to attack his character (and the validity of his argument) while cowering away from debating the actual statement itself which tells anyone with a brain that you have no counterargument. A lot of men today have suboptimal levels of testosterone; a lot less than their fathers or grandfathers had just 30-50 years ago. There are various reasons for this. One factor that is oftentimes neglected is endocrine disruptors in our environment (i.e., xenoestrogens, BPA, phthalates, triclosan, etc.), phytoestrogens in food (i.e., soy, which is present in almost all processed foods), and hypothyroidism (subclinical or autoimmune Hashimoto's disease). To increase testosterone levels naturally, including libido and erection quality, and reduce chronic inflammation: • Get enough daily sunlight. • Vitamin D3 (especially during the winter or if you live in a northern climate). • Zinc picolinate (20-40 mg per day). • Magnesium glycinate/citrate. • Resistance training (3-5 times per week for 45-90 minutes max). • Adequate neuromuscular recovery (e.g., don't overtrain). • Adequate (quality) sleep. • More healthy fats (monounsaturated and saturated fats from sources like grass-fed red meat, pasture-raised eggs, fatty fish, organic full-fat dairy, coconut fat, avocados, cocoa butter, certain nuts and seeds, etc.). • Increase dietary cholesterol intake through nutrient-dense, whole foods. Cholesterol is the building block of all steroid hormones, including androgens such as testosterone. • Manage stress. Do what you have to do to keep it under control (i.e., meditation, yoga, nature walks, relaxing music, massage/reflexology sessions, adaptogenic herbs, etc.). • Chronically elevated cortisol levels disrupt the HPT (hypothalamus-pituitary-testicles) axis and deplete your body of the very resources it needs to produce androgens like testosterone and DHT. • Eat enough quality calories (not all calories are the same!). • Avoid large or prolonged calorie deficits. • Eat adequate amounts of each macronutrient (protein, carbs, fats). All of them are important in their own way and serve specific physiological functions. Beneficial Supplements: • Shilajit • Ashwagandha • Maca • Taurine • L-Carnitine (increases androgen receptor density) • Creatine • Tongkat Ali • Fadogia Agrestis • Black Ginger • Pine pollen (contains natural androgens) • Boron (increases free testosterone) • DIM (natural anti-estrogen) 'The Testosterone Advantage' by Timotheus Ray is a nice read on male health and hormone optimization.

Many men equate masculinity and strength with working out and lifting weights. However, I would suggest reading Robert's books, as they convey a different message. True healthy masculinity encompasses much more than merely appearing masculine. And that is what modern men are most deficient in.

My father was a masculine man who took care of his wife and his three daughters, served in the armed forces and worked for my county's government for 22 years, and took us to Africa where he built roads and ran businesses, and he was a heavy weight boxer, and always a proper gentleman who respected women. Problem #1 - There are no positive rolemodels because they are cancelled immediately by screaming harpies at every turn. Lets be honest please. There is no longer and men spaces available for men by men. The Gym - gone, in its place a plausibly deniable spandex thirst trap, you know it, I know it. Workplace banter - in its place, an over policed sterile environment devoid of creativity due to constant feigning offense to wield power over others and character assassination. Video games - in its place, see the most recent "Concord" game. Action movies - in its place, girl bosses. Boys playing - in its place medication because they're considered defective girls. We need to call a spade a spade - we live in an overcorrected gynocentric world in the west where we're constantly told its the opposite. We will never correct this unless we can simply be honest about reality.
@JustinRM202 ай бұрын
I don't really recognize your point of view. Find any blue or pink collar job and see how little power HR or anything has over banter and how offensive people's humor is. Go to a smaller gym instead of a chain and see the same normal people you see at any gym; a few young lads crowded around the bench, some old dude still kicking it and a few women doing leg exercises. I don't recognize the thirst trap at all. Maybe this is very dependent on nation and the culture, but as a Western European dude in his 20s I don't think it's all that bad. Like always there's the good and the bad. I feel like your perspective is grounded in the internet and not in real life. Maybe it is true where you live, and I recognize parts of this if I watch too much KZbin and Instagram, both seemingly modeled to twist your perception of the world, yet I don't see it as much in real life if you surround yourself with working class people.
@thefeelingofunfair405226 күн бұрын
I dont think the problem is men putting women down, because that's a small few that actually do. But the concept of a "Real Man" went from having emotional fortitude, conversational decisiveness and physical reliably to having to make 6-figures, be 6 feet tall and up, 6+ inches, also your body needs to be big in some places and flat/lean in other places. As well as being able to plan everything, pick everything and pay for everything well women have 25 other men who she wants to see what they can give her before she even decides to go on a first date. Women want a lifestyle, not Love.

Its called FORBEARANCE. Men have the power to conquer, to override to establish their will. Those who realize we have the power must also realize there are times that we must forbear in order to bring about a more positive outcome. This is WHY we talk about things before we go to WAR. Sometimes talking can resolve grievances rather than pay the price in blood & treasure. Men cannot act on emotion, rather rely on WISDOM to seek answers. All that said: It is WISE for a MAN to be in control of his emotions and take care of HIS needs FIRST. Then you are prepared to help others as you see fit and solve issues. Forbearance: To refrain; abstain; to hold back.
