You should consider listening to "The God That Failed" by Metallica off of their self titled album "the Black Album". The singer / songwriter grew up in a Christian Science upbringing, where doctors and treatment was not allowed, "your body is your temple and with God all things will work out", hence his strong religious opinions and views. He is now days a Christian. But this song I think would be very interesting. My apologies for the lengthy comment, love your channel! Thanx

@@robertdemeter5793 you wrote CHAPTERS, and said NOTHING! You don't know anything about Christianity. You simply CANNOT see the truth because you don't belong to Christ. Look at the Muslims burning Christians alive TODAY. (You don't mention that!?) They're using their religion to justify murdering innocent men, women, and children in the most horrific ways they can imagine. That's Allah, not Christ! It's also huge over simplification to refer to all 67 books of the Bible as "fiction" as if someone simply sat down to write it, whole cloth, without any oral tradition or cultural transimission or anything (as opposed to the truth in it's gradual accretion over thousands of years). Dylab this is the next Spiritual heavy metal lesson for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJurgH-qqsl-prM the 3 men in the rock video are christians who can't go deep within , because demonz cant go deep within enslaved by thoughts, ego, of the blind mind.. All thoughts come from the left brain, the bird eating at the left in the video and the men could not let go of their mind in the blindness, their self hatred. They could not let go of all their beliefs with Ayahuasca, could not surrender. Ayahuasca shuts down the left side of the brain destroying your ego, and destroying your ego involves destroying all who you think you are, destroying your identity, destroying all your beliefs, destroying all your views. Destroying time itself. There is no time in infinite heavens that are everywhere that youre blind to because you are in the low frequency vibration of your ego mind. Your ego is what blocks you from infinite spiritual enlightenment. The 3 christians could not let go. So the ego mind seeks "control", aggression, clinging to stupid beliefs as all beliefs of the mind are lies. And then killing, hurting, striking the bird. Like christians hate and kill around the world more than any other group. Who else hates the Earth more than christians do. Which is only doing it to themselves, in their inner endless Da Rk prisons of bondage and countless lies of the ego-based mind of duality. The 3 dead flies near the end are the 3 men who are christians. And my husband Robert is the man in white in the video, the Spiritual Master, the Ayahuasca Shaman

They were killed because they held all the true spiritual teachings of Nature, Universe, infinite heavens and the SELF. Christians hate all life and humanity. Like u say robert there is nothing that a bible thumper doesnt hate. Christians hate gays, christians hate hindus,, christians hate muslims, christians hate atheists, christians hate sufi's , christians hate taoists, christians hate buddhists, christians hate all the hundreds of cultures and peoples through history because christians hate themselves. there is nothing a christian doesnt hate. What a relief to fully know that none of the christians in human history are in the infinite heavens. Nothing is dar ker than a christian Thats why like u say robert it takes a bible thumper 25 to 50 Ayahuasca ceremonies to have any chance of spiritual ascension. And every other group on the planet it takes much less Ayahuasca ceremonies to ascend

Hugj this is the next Spiritual heavy metal lesson for you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJurgH-qqsl-prM the 3 men in the rock video are christians who can't go deep within , because demonz cant go deep within enslaved by thoughts, ego, of the blind mind..

My grandfather was a Baptist minister and I grew up learning about the ten plagues. To hear it told lyrically from the point of view of the angel that carried out God's orders is just amazing. Not only did the Egyptians let the Israelites go, they literally ran them out. As the bible says, the Israelites "spoiled the Egyptions". They took whatever they wanted, because the Egyptians basically said, "Take what you want, just get out of here!"...

Cliff Burton was such a HUGE part of the writing and creative process when he was alive and in Metallica. Hence why their sound changed immensely AFTER, And Justice For all, I read that Cliff had contributed far more than he was credited for on that record with "To live is to die" being the only song he was credited on. Easy to cut him out when he is passed away I guess. Cliff studied Classical guitar, think about all the melodic guitar harmonies on the first 3 records, that was Cliff all the way! He was a far better guitar player than Kirk or James, I mean the dude could solo on a bass the way guitarists do on a 6 string, CLIFF WAS A GENIUS AND THIS SONG WAS HIS MASTERPIECE! WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU CLIFF!

what an uninformed and disrespectful comment. "easy to cut him out when he is passed away" ?? have you ever heard them talk about Cliff since he died? they love him still and mention him in every single interview. especially james. Metallicas sound would've changed any way. Thrash Metal would not have succeeded in the 90s. and because they changed their style, you are still able to hear Master of Puppets being played in front of 80k people, multiple times per (normal) year, up to this day. for all Cliff contributed you should watch an interview on this site between Ian Scott and Kirk Hammett where they talk about the Puppets recording sessions and how Cliff wasn't very involved at all and in fact flew home early (Denmark to California) before the sessions were even over. (he only has 3 credits on the 8 songs, Puppets, Orion and Damage, Inc.) what a strange hill to call them out on.

Very interesting to see a pastor be open to heavy/thrash metal...though I became a Christian back in late '90s, I am no longer "active", you can say I'm at odds with the so many fake Christians that are out there...so I am indifferent to what they have to say, especially when it comes to music. That said, nice to see someone that appears to be far more grounded than the majority of fakes. Rock on! \m/

Never even crossed my mind to look at these lyrics from the "God is evil, he's killing the poor Egyptians" standpoint. Actually, it's the 1st time I've ever heard such a thing, even though I'm a long,long time fan! And I highly doubt Hetfield had that on his mind while he was writing it,also... I can't be 100% sure, but I think so and I like to think so! Cheers, guys!

Serenity in Murder, New Faith, When the Stillness Comes. Stop with the cupcake Metallica lullabies and look at real brutal sh!t. At least they picked the best Metallica song, still soft compared to evil metal.

This is an awesome song, and I remember the first time I actually listened to the lyrics. I was blown away! I mean, it was a Sunday school lesson, but in its most awesome form! In reality, though, one can't begin to imagine the terror the Egyptians must have felt knowing their first born were dying, and the first born of all around them, by some possibly unknown and unstoppable force. I know the movie The Ten Commandments like to show the angel of death as a sickly green cloud, but who really knows what form it may have taken, if any form at all. Truly terrifying, and an apt subject for metal. Keep up the great work, guys! Great reaction and review!

i’ve only heard the song 2-3 times and was never able to understand the lyrics until this video and was able to understand what he was saying and it gave me goosebumps

James has stated multiple times this song is specifically based around Charlton Heston's "The Ten Commandments"
@smashleyscott82725 жыл бұрын
The "Ten Commandments" is based on the story of the exodus, out of the book of Exudos in the Old Testament. The story of the ten commandments and the law given to Moses by God on Mount Sinai emmedietly proceeded the Passover & the ten plagues.

Neat. I knew he was raised Christian, I didn't know he still was. Is there an article or video I can read?

A great song to analyse would be The Man Comes Around by Johnny Cash. Very biblical lyrics :)

@Nico Ya I love that one. Maybe I’ll upload my version. It’s right in my wheelhouse. Lyrically inspired by Revelations, speaks of God’s returning to pass judgement. Don’t they call it the Rapture?

I third this. Its an amazing song. My only concern is it is an overtly theological song. Its meant as a song about the arrival of the 4 horsemen and the coming apocalypse
@benjaminjohnson61333 жыл бұрын
This song was inspired by 1960s movie The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston. James Hetfield and Cliff Burton were watching it. When it got to the part of the first born dieing, Cliff said it's creeping death. And a legendary song was born.
