Hi everyone! I'm a professional makeup artist and bodypainter, and I just wanted to quickly talk about the Kryolan setting spray. It's a very good and heavy duty product, it contains alcohol so when it dries up, everything is locked down in place. I usually use it to set a bodypaint, but it can also be used on the face (I personally use it on myself). At first, the skin feels tight, almost as if you couldn't move it, but after a little bit that feeling goes away. I've used it with brides and it's totally worthy. Things to have into consideration: 1) Since it contains alcohol, it could dry up your skin if you use it constantly. I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use. 2) It's a flammable product, so it should always be used under precaution. 3) Be careful not to spray it on your eyes, nose or mouth. Whenever I use it on the face, I use something to cover up those areas just to be safe. Hope you find this information helpful💜
@richiethev46232 жыл бұрын
Could this be the same theory be why the drag queens told me to use hair spray to lock in my make up??? Thanks heavens I have good skin so I never had any ill reaction's. I wad born in 1989 so when I was in high school eye primer, make up primer and setting spray just wasn't a thing in existence UNLESS you had a license to buy theatrical make up stuff. Back in the day I had to use lotion on my face including my eyes as my "primer" and hair spray as my "setting spray" 🤗 Oh girl you best believe I always followed what my mom taught me which was skin care is top priority or else your skin will look like bad no matter what and to take off make up I used ponds cold cream and I always washed my face along with using witch hazel toner. Nowadays I use alcohol free witch hazel😅🌅 -Mercy(sorry for the name confusion I am on my dad's phone at the moment)

My skin hates cleansing balms but loves cleansing oils. But yeah, my sis uses those wipes and I’m like “if I really need a wipe, I’ll put water on my makeup eraser.” It doesn’t dry out and then you waste half the container.

Hi Robert! When I was a kid my mom taught me to use vaseline as make-up remover, so its what I've always done. Its never irritated my skin or eyes, and I've been doing it for 15 years. If you look it up online you see mixed opinions on whether or not you should use it to remove makeup. What's your take on it?? Thanks!
Happy Sunday, Robert! Can I just take a moment to appreciate how kind and gentle you are in your critiques? Have an excellent week! 💕🖤💕🖤💕🖤💕🖤

The Kryolan spray and Mehron makes a similar one are both perfect for bodypaint. We use them a lot in cosplay so I fully believe they work perfectly on regular makeup

I once wore a bronze stick-type shimmer eyeshadow out to the pub and it went that smeary, glossy way and looked great. Next time I picked it up I checked the stick for the make - I'd put a stick lipgloss on my lids by mistake. 🤣

I totally agree about how using a cleansing balm+washcloth is better overall, but it’s also important to remember that sometimes even having to do two steps instead of one step in order to cleanse your skin will be the dealbreaker for some people! Especially people with executive dysfunction struggles, having something that allows us to still care for ourselves is essential. 💛
@DersiteDuke2 жыл бұрын
I would think that people with that severe of executive function aren’t doing their make up as much as the people the balm tiktok was talking to, but in the case they are, they would have to also consider how much longer the balm lasts vs the makeup wipes that, even with light make up, requires 2-3 wipes some dry days. Executive function issues + going out or ordering nonessentials more often is also not a great combination. Ultimately, everyone is different. That tiktok was just introducing an alternative to what a lot of people already use.

Okay you have convinced me to give up the make-up remover wipes 😜. I normally use a wipe, then a q-tip with eye makeup remover, THEN I use a cleanser and THEN a exfoliator... Obviously rinsing between each step... It's a lot and some nights seems like a chore🤤. You've definitely convinced me to start with a cleansing balm😌! NOW I need to decide which one with my dry skin and other issues 🤔

I use kryolan for stage makeup. I used Ben nye for years but Kryolan is cheaper and lasts a bit longer when sweating. Their setting spray is next level! It’s all I use and it holds up even when doing 16 hour shifts at Disney in the middle of summer.
