I have been a follower of you for years and you have opened my eyes to many great fragrances. I appreciate you're doing this, as indeed the online fragrance community has changed a lot, with all the hype some of the "reviewers" are creating. You and Persolaise stand out for me as top notch. I would also think it's fair to hear Demi's stance on this, so I have linked your video in a comment to her original "review" of Minuit et Demi, as well as in a comment on her latest video. Let's see if that reply happens.

Dubai is a planetary hub for all kinds of shady "entrepreneurs", not only influencers. 0% income tax, almost no regulations or checks on your business practices, huge network of other like-minded individual etc... Some come to evade the laws and regulations of their home countries, some come to feed on rich. Sure, there are people there who do regular honest work, but they rarely promote themselves. If you see an "influencer" or "life-coach" or any "online" business "guru" in Dubai, it's 99% certain they didn't come there because of nice weather and sandy beaches.

A fair and honest review for those new to fragcom who don't realise what goes on. This retails for £250 in the UK, Changing Constance for £235. I did buy it for my daughter for Xmas, BUT: a) she had NO idea who Demi even is, she just liked the scent profile when she sampled it in store and, b) I didn't buy retail, I paid £100 less than RRP. The performance still sucks for the discounted price, but so does the Penhaligons.

@sevbu it well might on YOUR skin. Your personal experience doesn't negate or outrank ours. I actually didn't state that MED lasts longer, I said that performance sucks on both... Performance being projection/sillage AND longevity.

I had no idea all this was happening in the background. I've been seeing pieces of things here and there, but that whole Dubai thing really made me go "Oooooooohhhhh, so that's why Dubai has been circulating." That's quite something. Edit: Marc, Navitus came out with a fragrance that's pretty similar called Soir Exclusif and Big Beard was the main person behind that fragrance, so they pushed that in front of you, but they used Beard (I feel) once you weren't on board.

I prefer Penhaligon's Changing Constance, it is IMO the smoother, better blended fragrance. Minuit et Demi feels like a rip off of Constance, the added vetiver and maybe also the coffee among other notes makes it kind of harsh in the dry down. While Constance remains smooth all the way. This is just my personal opinion, looking forward to your review of Changing Constance 👍

Yes, you can now however the whole point was when you launch something new people want to smell it. Asking people to buy something with no reviews, no samples, online only was not a good honest move. If you really are behind your product especially a brand as big as FDB, couldn't they do a launch party at a few boutiques? Something to get her people excited, to sniff it? Have testers around? You are correct tho, it's now part of the line, so testers and I believe samples as well now.

Changing Constance is a much better fragrance and predates her pseudo-clone... She and her content are trash so thanks for taking one for the team in doing the research so we won't have to listen to her prattle... As there was some buzz about it years ago, I got a 2ML decant of it because my wife loves gourmands... Wife thought it was a cheap clone when she smelled it... (And there is nothing wrong with a cheap clone but you can't charge this kind of coin for something that comes off like a cheap clone of something we already have...) We already had the Penhaligon and Changing Constance is just superior in every respect... Looking forward to when you finally take that one down off the shelf and open that one up to get your nose on it... ^_^ Great job as always Marc...
