Very challenging but masculine scent which I really enjoy. I'm surprised I don't like it more than I do. You're right, this scent may be ahead of its time, not appreciated now, but just wait! Awesome, awesome review as usual. When I first smelled this stuff, I tried to not like it because it was SO different from what I expected. Every time I've come back to it since, I like it more and more. Every time I smell it now, I just say, "wow". I still lack the confidence to actually feel like I can pull it off, but maybe one day! I think once you get over the initial bang of the opening I think it dries down to be a masterpiece...a beautiful deep dark smell so far away from the usual 'blue' bottle fragrances... Well worth it I love the stuff....P.s You nail the review about this juice.. awesome Atb Lee

Great review Marc, let me tell you my experience with this GGA. the First bottle I got it from someone that didn't like it, for almost nothing he bought it blindly and then two sprays after he could not handle it, at first it the opening is dearing but I let it work and it grew on me and god I love it that i already order a bigger bottle as a back up. This is a beautiful scent.

I just went to my local perfume store and checked this fragrance out. I agree completely with your opinion. This is a unique and gorgeous scent. Daring and unusual for a designer fragrance. Unfortunately it is not reduced at that store and I won't buy it for full retail, considering it is not suited to spring and summer in my opinion. But that smell of wood glaze, leather and wood is amazing. It smells like an upholstery workshop. I do not think this is too wearable, but I could not get enough of the smell.

I love it as a scent,but It's almost unwearable for me. Since I already own Encre Noire A L'Extreme and Bentley Absolute ( which for me are lot more versatile, and not so daring) I'm not gonna buy a bottle of Guilty Absolute anytime soon. Great review.

As a SAUVAGE lover myself, when I first smelled this, if fucking loved it and in my fragrance group, I was the only one hyping it up.... I have 3 bottles of it!!! and yes, 5 of SAUVAGE... :) Guicci's Guilty Absolute, Prada's L'Homme Intense and Prada's Miracle of the Rose are the best releases of 2017 !!! in my humble opinion...

I finally found this at Sephora but they weren’t carrying the female counterpart, interestingly. I liked the initial smell; didn’t wait for the drydown. Weird but I think I could respect a man for wearing this. I could see it being addictive. Birch tar is what gives it that medicinal smell? Or the cypress? It is interesting. Nice review. I wish you wouldn’t say “two little nuggets” though 😆(8:34)

Reminded me of a cold doctors office, I was skeptical of it becoming a skin scent after all the reviews but this thing lasted an eternity on me and I could easily smell whiffs of it 8+ hours later. I couldn’t appreciate this in my younger collecting days, it’s too earthy, but I love it now as a seasoned fraghead. I bought the 5oz bottle, will definitely get its uses since I can’t find Fahrenheit parfum. Great review

Gucci PH I,and II were great as well as Rush and Envy. After that the housed skidded to a halt in my book. If this is a 10 I give Gucci Intense Oud an 11.

Great review Marc! This is not for the faint hearted! I firstly didn't like it, but used the sample again in winter / end fall and was in love with this juice! I don't wear this to work... Not sure if people will appreciate this.

Great review as usual Marc. I have to say that your description of this fragrance is spot on. However, for me, this a fragrance that is hard to like. Thanks to your review I finally know why....it is that birch tar note that smells like "Dettol" hence that medicinal feel and where I am from everyone will think I just took a bath in Dettol if I wore it. I say can though that in the cool nights or cool weather I appreciate it more as the leather and woods shine more. Also I agree that if you like TDH you will more than likely like this one but for me, like TDH, I will soon part with this one. Cheers

Hey Marc, love this one - spot on review. I recieved a brand new bottle 2 weeks ago and it seems like 10%of the juice was missing off the top, lol . Im wondering if Gucci is just using 100ml bottles. Nonetheless, its great stuff.

My wife couldn't stand this one when we smelt it on paper in the store but once I got a bottle she appreciated it for the great leather smell it gives off. I think the fall is the best season for this fragrances.

I love this stuff, been wearing it the last few months and it's so unique. It's definitely not a compliment getter, at least for me anyway. Me and a friend did brunch one morining and she told me I smelled like medicine, like she legit thought I took medicine and that's what the smell was. Love it regardless though

This will be an OG in a few years when Smoky woody masculine scents have their run again. They have run out of ideas with the iris powdery puff juice lately.......I welcome the change. Gucci Guilty Pour Homme Cologne might be one of those Gucci's you like, due to it not being the normal blue fragrances being released. It definitely is more polarizing/daring. Which makes it attractive.

Hi Marc! Gucci Guilty Absolute does not reminds you of Antonio Puig Quorum or Givenchy Gentleman(old formula)? Very good scent,even if it is so blamed by many people,it is a very good release.I like this one ,it reminds me of '70 or '80 releases,a very masculine"übermännlich" scent.Welcome back in the game Gucci!

Gucci used to be an elite house back in the day, Gucci PH original, Gucci Nobile, Gucci Envy, Gucci Pour Homme I, Gucci Pour Homme II... They discontinued ALL of those classics lol, imagine if Chanel discontinued Antaeus, Egoiste, Platinum Egoiste and the entire Allure Homme line or something like that! Gucci doesn't have any of it's classics for some reason like other big brands, and I think that hurts them. They should honestly be discussed in the same ranks as Chanel, Dior, Armani, YSL, etc.

I just bought this after a test dican and it works so well on my skin. I have not have any complement but a lot of heads turning I can fill the vive (may be is just me ) over thinking. Anyways I did found this very seductive and masculine pure alpha male and remarkable as a sovesticate man that know how to handle any situation. Price wise I think if it get discontinued price will definitely go up by 10x for collectors defenelly unique man cologne.

I bought it for 50$ just as a collection item. I won't use it that much because I live in a very hot and humid climate. I'll use it a few times a year, in the dead of winter (which is not that cold).

I found a perfume that is very similar but more wearable to me: Aeosp - Hwyl It has the same wood glaze aroma with the same manly undertones but is a little less extreme. It immedeately reminded my of Gucci Guilty Absolute on paper and on my skin. You might want to get your nose on that, if you can.

I bought the gift set. The 90ml eau de parfum, 150ML shower gel and 50ml aftershave balm. All three smell for 10/12+ hours on me. Too bad Gucci didn't release the aftershave balm.

This thing smells exactly like a burning melting plastic with some motor oil on the top. If you would walk into a grocery store with this thing on you, people would get out of your way that's for sure!!! Never smelled something like this ever. Doesn't even smells like a fragrance!!! No way this is a 10/10, it's just a straight up leather! This has no complexity whatsoever and it's not wearable.. something that a fragrance needs to be! As a smell it's interesting to see how accurately they got this to smell like leather, but that shouldn't warrant a 10/10 imo.
