Greetings from Baghdad, Iraq. I had previously visited England in 1987. At that time, I was participating in a course in radars, so I love and miss for that time.

Good swipe on that Mora! I liked the look of those new models but they were way off with the pricing. A typically astute observation on those Ash wood handles from you Rob, we can always rely on you to see through the Bullsh*t 😂👍🏻

Great review...... expensive for what it is, but it works.

Having used one I that due to the flex in the steel the sclaes were moving aswell. It is tough and I like it but them the handle moves and I swap it for my Rob Evans.

Nice all round vid mate - good to see you out in the woods. Looks like a reasonable tool but I'd still totally favour a Casstrom for less dosh. All the best Andy

Me too mate , £30 for a woodsman, work that out

👍Good one Rob. Yup all of that range are rediculously expensive. They're available here but aren't selling many. I don't think they'll survive this environment 😊.

Hope you did well at the Gathering Rob...Always good to see your technique's splitting and making fires...Iv'e got the Silkysaw Zubat and need to get the Gomboy for compactness, Pouch looks good too for it...Hope all is well with you Rob 🙂

All good here mate, after a manic summer of working sometimes 7 days a week I'm trying to get a better work/woods balance, unfortunately the gathering was quiet, I brought home 2/3 of my stock that I'd worked hard to make, I wasn't the only one.

Mora Wit, it’s not shit 😂 Best review summary ever. Think you’re bang on with the Garberg pricing. Sure they’d sell like hot cakes at that price point. I had a little gander on your stand at the Wilderness Gathering. A strange glow & otherworldly music emanating across the show ground drew me in. Totally blown away by your work Rob. My son dragged me away to the canoeing which probably saved me getting all Gollum-like about the blades. Really taken with the MK1 and will be in touch in due course. Cheers, Sean

You do some top reviews more set in senarios that we would want a bushcrafter style blade which i like this one being one of them cheers from the US !

Nice review. Agree with you conclusion. That’s why I didn’t buy one. For carving any of my Finnish knives are perfect. Best one I have is from Juka Hankala.

I should get of the new classics, they are cheaper and better looking than the Trashwood series

I much prefer the CORONA saw to anything from Silky. Tested both, the Corona matches in every way but price. Less than 30$ USD. As to MORAKNIV. Ill be honest, the Mora 511 does pretty much anything I need a scandi knife to do. I wouldnt sking a hog or a deer with one, but other than that, it works great on wood....and it is 6$ USD.

I'm a big fan of the mora Robust, great knife and cheap.

It would be cool if you put micarta scales on that Mora, maybe with liners as well and leave off a little at the end to expose the tang.

Easy to do just not worth the effort for me.

I feel mora have priced themselves out of the market on their higher end knives. There’s nothing much wrong with them but not at the price they’re asking. There’s better knives available for the same price or less. In Australia they want $250.00 AU. Which is £130. This is coming from someone who’s willing to pay double that for a good knife.

Everyone is of the same option on the silly price.

Have you ever used the other Japanese saw, the Samurai saw? I’ve also recently been looking at the Condor Final Frontier knife, it looks the part. I haven’t had one in my hand yet so can’t comment too much on it, but thinking at £75 it might be worth getting one.

I had a small Samurai saw, it worked well, I gave it to my friend.

I just cannot pay 280 for that little blade. Needs more personalization and craftsmanship to justify the price.

@@RobEvansWoodsmanFor some strange reason, I can’t make a comment on this video unless replying to one already made!🤔 I also find my comments, not just on yours, will not appear, so annoying after I’ve just typed out a virtual essay to find it’s disappeared into KZbin ether.☹️ 30:19 Anyway, I just came to say, you had me for a minute there, but got it. The comedy film “The Plane”, a hilarious film of the mid? 80s. In fact, if it’s on Netflix or Amazon video, I’ll give it a watch tonight, I need a bit of cheering up and reminding of times when Britain was a place when you could state your opinions on things, however wrong, however obnoxious etc, people actually came here because of that, like Iranians escaping the Ayatollah. Anyway, apologies, I know this is a bushcraft channel, so…enough…. I’d hate to pay that much for the Mora, even at £70 or £80, I think there are better options, certainly nicer. I do like making spatulas, they’re always so much better than commercially available wooden ones.

@@Mat-kr1nf I don't know why your comments don't appear, sorry. The "Plane" reference was from Fantasy islands.
