Robin Exhaust - NEC Practical Classics Announcement

The exhaust has snapped on my 1993 Reliant Robin so I need to fit a new one. its an ideal opportunity to tell you all that I will be at the NEC Practical Classics Restoration Show March 34th-26th 2023. LE93 will be on display at the Reliant Owners Club stand. Come along and say hello.

We have spare exhaust gaskets .. pretty sure we left them in your garage aswell 😅

Did exactly this today... Old gasket wouldnt come off entirely... Gun gum over it, new gasket right over top... New exhaust on... New silencer, more gun gum... overtightened the clamp and snapped it... So more gun gum on the outside for now too. Another clamp ordered... Will add that when it arrives... Speedo cable also replaced the day before and front bearings greased... Now just the front brake shoes to replace and new cylinder and a bleed... The stuff I've done to this Rialto since I've had it... I suspect it's more than I've ever spent on any vehicle... As an Englishman, I'd love to leave a joke about the pig somehow relating to a sheep... But KZbin int meant for our generation and I'm afraid it'd be my account blocked or whatever. All the best mate your videos have been a great help to me.

I dont know what it is about these little cars, we keep pouring time and money into them, they are fun to drive tho. Fixing 1960s tech that hasn't been maintained for 30 years does bring to challenges! As a Welsh man I wouldnt be offended, I'm sure we'd be in a bar with an Irish man 😀 Glad the vids help 🤜🤛

Robin's always sounded farty with a stock exhaust due to one box and a skinny tailpipe. I've seen some Corsa B exhaust systems and much quieter

I always hated those exhausts, romax and all the brand names will rot away in 4 years, so I had a stainless exhaust pipe made, cost 4 times as much but its been under it now for 20 years and still is perfect

Come to think about it i don't think I've ever broken down on a nice sunny summers afternoon. Its always in winter at night in the rain./sleet/snow . last one was a flat tyre on the heads of the valleys road near Hirwaun just before it was closed cos of the blizzard,😳
