Before y’all get y’all’s panties in a bunch in the comments, no where in this video do I make any arguments for Amber Heard! The gist is, she (Robin) was wrongfully vilified and was seen and treated similar to how Amber Heard is seen and treated now. That doesn’t mean that Amber was wrongfully vilified. It just means Robin didn’t deserve the Amber Heard treatment that she received. Please don’t make this something that it’s not 💛

Amber heard has been wrongfully vilified , fortunately the truth is prevailing and the tide is turning which is great! Still awful what she was put through…I admire her strength and class, they could’ve driven an innocent to unalive herself and that is sad…I do stand with amber, she is not just a Dv/SA victim but one of a horrendous smear campaign and injustice…Kesha, Angeline Jolie and Evan Rachel wood are facing defamation lawsuits now too so this is sadly too common of an experience for women…💕

They hated her because she was classy, beautiful and successful. I honestly believe people (including other black women) hate seeing black women being the picture of success that is supposedly only reserved for white women. @Simple I don't get it! I totally agree that it was absolutely jealousy but I can't understand for the life of me why our own women would hate on another black woman for showing that black women aren't a "monolith" and we're more than the disgusting stereotypes that society/the media tries to trap us in. I just keep coming back to jealousy. I never heard of Robin Givens but as soon as I saw the opening scene of this video, I was HOOKED. She's such a beauty! And so elegant and smart! Diahann Carroll was bullied at school (by fellow black girls) for being "boujee" because she was an elegant young lady, and unfortunately, other girls found that intimidating, I guess. Same with Robin. You don't have to be ratchet and classless in order to fit in. She was a total queen and black women should've praised her, not been against her. Especially all that she went through with Mike Tyson.

I was night manager at a hotel in Richmond, VA in the early 90's and she came to the desk one night to get her keys. The valets are off duty at night so we had to wait for security to get the car keys for the guests and usually it's an awkward few minutes while you're waiting, people tend to get impatient. I didn't recognize her. But she was so nice and so pleasant and we chatted about the city and whatever. She came back for her car for the next couple and by then I knew who she was but she was very gracious and kind, and this was after the whole Mike Tyson thing and she'd been treated so unfairly in the press, I felt bad for her because it was really undeserved. Very nice person.

She was a FOX!!!! What she said in that Barbara Walters interview is often overlooked, misinterpreted and underrated. Most people, including myself, felt like she was shaming and vilifying him, but actually she was addressing the fact that his team and promoters were taking advantage of him. Because she even said that his condition wasn't given any attention because he was a talented boxer. And everyone around him saw dollar signs. Essentially what she was communicating was that he was a sincere man, who didn't come from the best circumstances and was still battling a lot of demons in spite of his wealth, success and fame... Where do people get this stuff? Try looking up some facts about DV - men get arrested even when they are the victim. The women rarely do time or are punished legally. But violent, crazy dusty ass Mike Tyson can assault her, slap women on the ass, become a rape felon, bite his opponents ear but is not hated and vilified but his former wife who was only 24 years old at that time can still be treated like shit 30 years later by Black people acting like she crucified this man! Too many Black mammies and dusties have double standards and hate to see beautiful, dark skinned, educated, feminine, well-heeled, articulate Black women but love the dusty ghetto black man and gold diggers like the Kartrashians. Wow 🙄 unbelievable!

It was stated she lied about being pregnant in order to marry Mike Tyson. It was also alluded that her mother was apart of it. She had no real intentions of being with Mike. No one discuss Mike Tyson hitting her. Domestic violence is already dangerous and physically painful. I could not image being hit as a woman by Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson has shown a pattern of being problematic yet Robin is still viewed negatively

So how do you know who to believe? For all we know the accusations against her are true, and she bullied and beat him. I mean, if he raises his hand in defense, one photo and a phone call and she gets all his money -best case. Worst case he kills her with 1 punch, so life in prison, and he was terrified of that. Or, maybe she's telling the truth and he was CTE crazy. We don't know

I liike Robin Givens. Beautiful, classy, intelligent woman. Are those who say she's not black enough saying a black woman can't be those things? It's insane. Same hate Whitney got. Also the same as Rihanna when the incident happened with Chris Brown. The tide turned in her favour later but the immediate response in blogs then was why did she report the assault and that she deserved the beating.

It’s absolutely disgusting how villainous the media was, especially towards Black women. People laughing at her abuse AFTER Tyson ADMITTED to punching her? The country is sick. After seeing something like this, it’s hard to deny the understanding that black women are THE most disrespected group in America. I’ve always been an admirer of this woman, and that’s because she reminds me that there IS space for a proper-spoken, sexy, intelligent black women, regardless of what the ignorant haters have to say. To this day, the black community STILL shits on literate, educated black women. It’s absolutely ridiculous, and pitiful. It’s bad enough that the U.S. is behind when it comes to the quality of our school system compared to most advance countries, but for our community, which affected the most when it comes to this statistic, to attack educated AND attractive black women like this is insidious and just shows the hate the community has for itself. Robin Givens is a Queen, and only real Kings and Queens can attest to that❤️

In my opinion, the biggest mistake of her life was getting with a sociopath like mike tyson. Robin was attractive and highly intelligent, so it was normal for high value men to want to be with her; however, society treats unambiguous black women like sh-it! In the minds of many, black women should be the Help and side piece. And the black community will forever blame black women for the toxic behavior of black men. I’m just happy Robin didn’t allow dusty mike to completely ruin her mentally and physically. Glad she got out!

I was in high school back when she got married to Mike Tyson. What I remember about that particular situation is people had a difficult time believing that she had anything in common with Mike Tyson. He came across as, not classy or intelligent or her “type”. She was everything he was not. Therefore, people assumed she was only in it for the $. Tyson was very popular at the time and SUPER rich, really fast. TY Karine for such fantastic content 🙏🏻
