Not to be pedantic, but as my BA is in Medieval and Renaissance history, this is a Medieval tale, not a Renaissance tale. King Richard at the end is Richard Lion Heart, who returned to England in 1194. The Renaissance period started in different countries at different times but was generally around 1500

43:51 You need to! We go fairly often, because we live within an hour from it. Each weekend is a different theme for the 8 weeks it runs. It’s surrounded by large pine trees, which helps add to the feel. This year is the 49th anniversary and we’re actually planning on going before Thanksgiving (theme: Highland Fling) now that it’s not hellaciously hot, lol. The last weekend is always Christmas themed. This was actually my first Alan Rickman movie, since Die Hard was before my time. He’ll always be the Sheriff of Nottingham first, then Hans Gruber. I’m so glad you enjoyed this 90s classic.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (born Thomas Connery; 25 August 1930 - 31 October 2020) was a Scottish actor. He was the first actor to portray fictional British secret agent James Bond on film, starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983. He has had movie rolls in Robin Hood, Prince of thieves The Rock with Nicolas Cage, the third Indiana Jones movie with Harrison Ford the league of extraordinary gentlemen, and the list goes on. When he came on the picture and you said it’s the king I said you’re damn right it’s the king lol Sean Connery was the goat.

7:43 - "No! Don't chop down the tree." - Sadly, somebody did chop down that specific tree, a month or so ago. It was one of the most famous trees in England, situated right next to Hadrian's Wall. They blamed it on a 16 year-old, which I still don't buy. Personally I think it got felled by a local who was getting annoyed at the amount of Instagram tourists it attracted. Overtourism can be a burden on a region, but that doesn't excuse chopping down such an iconic tree.

Alan Rickman not really liking his lines rewrote them with some friends. Iconic lines like "You. My room. 10:30 tonight. You. 10:45... And bring a friend." were not in the script. @@AwesomeUSMovies As you are a bookworm (same as me😉) I would recommend another of his movies Sense and Sensibility - considered as one of the best adaptations of the book - with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet - on your radar. And, another stunning gentle emotional, while surprisingly funny movie - Snowcake. The main role was especially written for Alan Rickman and he not only suggested Sigourney Weaver as his co-star but brought her aboard. The two are practically carrying the whole movie in roles that are complete opposites to what we are used to see them in (I would never imagine Sigourney in that role!) and both are killing their parts!

Ironically, some people recently cut down the tree that the kid climbs up at the beginning. Four ended up being arrested over it. Never found out what their motivation was. The wall next to the tree was damaged when the tree fell. The wall is 2000 years old from the time the Romans were in England and is a UNESCO Heritage site. They're currently trying to harvest sprouts from the stump so that they might be able to grow another one in it's place.

This was a few hundred years before the Renaissance... but... uh... yeah... the sets certainly do look like a Renn Fair, don't they? Maybe they should rename Renn Fairs to Dark Ages Fairs or Medieval Faires... I don't think I've ever been to one where they were set up to resemble 14th century Florence. Though, on the other hand, the jousting events they almost always feature were popular during Renaissance-era Norman England.

Azim.. was not talking about caesarean. He was referring to an Episiotomy: cut to the vaginal wall to enlarge opening. Episiotomy, also known as perineotomy, is a surgical incision of the perineum and the posterior vaginal wall generally done by a midwife or obstetrician. This is usually performed during second stage of labor to quickly enlarge the aperture allowing the baby to pass through. The incision, which can be done from the posterior midline of the vulva straight toward the anus or at an angle to the right or left (medio-lateral episiotomy), is performed under local anesthetic (pudendal anesthesia), and is sutured after delivery.

This was a good pick for a mythology movie. Other good picks for that would be Dragonheart (1986) Reign of Fire (2002) Highlander (1986) Conan the Barbarian (1982) And an extra suggestion for you the movie Renaissance Man (1994)

COOL REACTIONS! I could've been a Bookworm, the only Book I ever read all the way was "The Outsiders" then watched the Movie after reading the Book in School a long time ago, I'm 37. This Movie was a Favorite of mine as a kid, then "ROBIN HOOD MEN IN TIGHTS" WAS FUNNIER! ROCK ON!

Watch The Adventures of Robin Hood from 1938 starring Errol Flynn. It is the definitive Robin Hood story. It is a color film.

This version needs to be seen before Men in Tights for James to fully appreciate MIT. Gorgeous sound track and costumes.

So glad you watched this movie, it’s in my all time top 10 movies. Sean Connery probably the most famous actor in this film. You saw him as Indiana Jones’ father in Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. Has done so many good movies. One of his best is “The Rock” with Nicolas Cage, a great action movie to check out! Keep your great content coming!

35:46 It's saltpeter. But, more scientifically It's called potassium nitrate. I was an Aviation Ordnanceman for 8 years on the LHD-3 USS Kearsarge. I know about explosives.

Another incredible Kevin Costner movie is Dances with Wolves. I love this movie but Dances with Wolves is ten times better. Definitely worth a watch! For another great Morgan Freeman movie, watch Glory, which is based on a true story. Incredible movie and mostly forgotten 🥰

@@AwesomeUSMovies then you should absolutely put one movie from each of the actors who played Bond on your list to watch! All worth it, especially if you have read any of Ian Fleming’s stories about the character.
