As quickness goes Don Rickles and Rodney Dangerfield could conduct the same on the spot Masterclasses very easily. And Johnny Carson himself had a nimble mind for humor. Phyllis Diller once talked about the time she met Johnny somewhere and she was dressed as a nun for a TV appearance. Carson never skipped a beat according to her: "Say 'Hello!' to The Boss!" Obviously he wasn't talking about Springsteen...😏😂🎤📺B.W.

@@madbrowniac7871 Rodney wasn't that quick witted. On the tonight show he just did a lot of jokes he's done before. Don Rickles was great but Robin was way more prolific on the tonight show. Probably because of the cocaine. A lot of Rickles quick witted jokes were hit or miss. William's hit the mark a lot more. Also, a lot of Rickles quick witted jokes all centered around offended the subject.

@DatrixTSW2012 People want good taste, it's just we live in an era where the powers that be keep doubling down on failed ideas in the name of pushing their agendas. So many TV shows today with woke political messages that have ratings that even a decade ago would have led to mid-season cancellations, and yet these failed modern shows get rewarded with another season anyway. It's madness!

I miss him! Mom died from the same disease right before Robin Something I never knew about and I was in the medical field for decades. I can’t imagine him being struck down by it like mom. Louis body syndrome. He was always doing ad llb material, he could not help himself! It was a gift! He will always be remembered!!

This was one of Robin's best appearances on Carson. Please put the whole episode up. The other guest was Phyllis Newman... and Robin just stole the whole show.

cindyscott54 I don't know if it was the drugs, but he never gave anyone else a chance to talk or butted in, painful to watch sometimes. He was better at solo stand up comedy, he didn't have to be polite to other people.

Am I the only one who is enough of a TV Fan to notice if you married Michelle Stafford and Eric Braeden's characters from "The Young And The Restless" you'd get "Phyllis Newman"! If she took his last name that is.😏😂📺B.W.

Can you believe Michael Jackson and Robin Williams were alive in the same century? That kind of raw talent is so rare and beautiful.
