The Sin of “Sloth” in Re:Zero doesn’t represent being lazy. It represent stagnation. “Stagnation of a Character”. Subaru’s sloth was not trying to change. He overcomes his sloth in the episode with Rem. He wanted to to escape with Rem and rot away in stagnation rather than changing himself to be a better man.

I don't agree at all with your assessment of Crush. There is a Polish saying: Devil lays in details - meaning that sometimes small details make all the difference. This is the case here. Crush said after defeating the White whale that she respects Subaru and she will not steal Subaru's achievement. She also said that even if they will become enemies due to incompatible interests she will still respect him. HOWEVER she did not say that she will make permanent alliance with Subaru and definitely not that she will be Emilia's supporter at the sidelines.

"The devil is in the details" is actually a common english idiom too, and is originally from Germany.

My brain trembles! It is my *unconfirmed fan theory* that Subaru's Return by Death is a power of a similar type as authorities of Sin Archbishops.

It’s confirmed though. It’s an Authority of Sin. It’s been confirmed in many times.

@@zade8586 spoiler: Roswaal calls it an Authority in season 2 episode 13. Echidna calls it an Authority in ep 12 and also in Greed IF LN Echidna once again confirms that. Subaru himself calls it an Return by Death an Authority( Although he doesn’t says Return by Death but rather “Foul Play”. In arc 6 Louis also tells Subaru that his Authority is so powerful and she wants to steal his authority.

Thanks for the info! I tried to read the LN but ended up not being able to really find any solid sources for a translation in English, although it was years ago. What would you recommend to be the best place to do so? and is it better to read the LN of WN?@@deepdawn1284
