Geweldig filmpje!

Big fan of salvage videos but i don't get one thing. SMIT and Svitzer Wijsmuller or Wijsmuller alone? Whats the story? Are they sister companies, competition? Sometimes the same tug carries SMIT livery and sometimes Svitzer...

These tugs were originally built by/for Smit, afterwards had a joint venture with Wijsmuller, on the sides then came smitwijs, as wel with the name like smitwijs Singapore, Smit and Wijsmuller each had 50% in this venture, svitzer bought Wijsmuller and took over the big tugs and so it became part of svitzer, I believe end of '90's, early 2000's, then the prefix Smit(wijs) was removed
