Thanks for the in depth review and great real-world testing. We had a horrible experience our Eufy and pet waste. This video was a huge help as we're hoping that never happens again.

Wow, I noticed that the new robot really does a good job on avoiding the obstacles, even though in dark environment. My puppy will love it.

If you're relying on any robot vacuum to avoid pet waste, you're in for a bad time. Very loose stools will likely not be detected and will get smeared around like normal.

We have a 1400 sq ft house with about half being hardwood. We run it every day and have to refill the tank every week and a half or so.

So would you buy “just the unit” now that it is currently on sale and buy the refill/empty base unit unit next month or wait until next month and buy the complete system together.
@DoItYourselfDad2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I would wait and get to the base station. It makes this thing so much more convenient to use. I only have to fill and empty the tanks once a week to ten days if we run it every day with the base.

like you to try hooking up the heater element to it and see if it is worth getting. good job on the video. Also maybe how to clean the base station a

There should be LIKES here by now! This was a great review! I never thought about poop getting run over by these but I could see that being....undesirable lol. I'm impressed by the dirty water from what looked like beautiful clean floors. Proof is in the pudding (water) apparently.

how does it perform with mini steps? there is an area in my house where we made an extension so the floor dips by 1cm.. presumably it should be okay going down but would it be able to get back up? or would it just assume that it's a step and roll away?

The lip between the bathroom and the hallway at my house it at least 1cm, doesn’t seem to have an issue.

Good video. I found in my testing it does not do well avoiding certain objects that matter like cords and shoelaces (I test with shoe laces untied) which it often gets stuck on. It is not much different than the avoidance found in the S6 MaxV. Also it will run over a hairball. I have 3 cats.
@DoItYourselfDad2 жыл бұрын
I noticed things improved with the last firmware update last week. It detected a hairball this morning successfully on the hardwood.

The 3D structured light is kind of improvement, does it help in avoiding objects? I do like the strong suction power , almost doubled than old models.

Do not buy this product unless you have answer to this question : How much surface area can you clean without having to refill the docking station's water tank, if you set the interval in which it returns to clean the mops to 10 minutes, and set the robot to max scrubing. If it can not mop your entire Space with the above settings without you having to refill the dock's water tank, this thing is useless as you will need to stay near and refill for it to complete mopping.
@DoItYourselfDad2 жыл бұрын
This thing will have no problem doing an entire house. We run our vacuum every day. Every day it cleans about 850sq ft of hardwood floor (the rest is carpet) and I have to refill the tank every 7-10 days.
@adisharr2 жыл бұрын
The water tank on a standard S7 is fairly small and can mop a very large area without needed to refill so this one will be able to mop for a long time.
@theattorney60722 жыл бұрын
@@adisharr I am talking about the base/ dock water tank not the one on the robot, and these docks use a lot of water to wash the mop each Time the robot returns to wash it before continuons mopping. Try to understand how it Works.
@adisharr2 жыл бұрын
@@theattorney6072 Yes I know it uses water from the main tank to pre-wet and clean the mop pad. From what I've seen watching the tank level during a cleaning process, you could clean a very large area without having to refill the tank. Also, if you've ever cleaned a mop pad on one of these, it's far from 'useless' even if you have to refill a tank and empty another tank.
