The bird cassettes wings do go back and lock into place, at least mine do. There is a little lip on the underside of the wing that is just a little too big so it bumps into the body. I know you shouldntnhave to do this but if you lift up on the wing as it slides towards the rear of the body it will snap into place. I figured this out after noticing how much tighter all of the other joints are on this version compared to all the other versions i have transformed. Just wanted to pass this along in case someone else thought the birds were trash because of the tight tolerence. Thanks for your reviews by the way.

Really good review, mate! I love the humour you brought into the video as well, it is right up my alley. People like us are lucky now that we arrived at an age where there are tons of choices for us transformers fans to get our favourite figures. It is not a cheap hobby though since all these third party companies bring out at least 30 amazing figures at least a year.

Best part ^_^ The more the better, I wish they'd branch out a bit though. Create things other people haven't. Shattered Glass Soundwave, or Oversized Soundwave. I understand they need to sell a Min 2,000 units to break even. But it'd still be nice ^_^

Awesome review. I have the same issues with both bird tapes, the wings will not go all the way back either. Other issues with this figure, can't hold his gun very good, shoulder cannon is a little loose and tape stacking mechanism does not go all the way back, so can store max of 2 tapes. I have the official Soundwave so I will display this figure in alt mode.

Seeing as I use them as a display model fully transformed, the stress marks from repeated movement wouldn't bother me. I'd probably keep a couple of lesser minions inside Pony (like scout) and have Rumble, Frenzy, Lazerbeak & Ravage out alongside their master.

Question: by comparing the official MP and Pony, could you tell me if the reason the gun won't fit in the peg is because of the hand peg being bigger or because the gun peg is smaller than the official? I'm wondering if getting the KFC posable upgrade hands for Pony will fix the gun peg issue.

It's nice to have the options. But frankly I'd like one a few shades light in tone. I'd also not mind having one with grey instead of the silver too. Or if it is the typical colours - I'd like it to have some tampos for all the missing details. around the legs the speakers and the labels on the sides of the cassette player mode. I'd also like some Cassettes in other shades too - I don't need them all to look like the Takara ones as they are cheap as chips anyway (or virtually indistinguishable KO are). So whoever gives me an anime deco set or even Shattered Glass will get my pennies. As it is I'll make do with my Soundblaster - to be honest I think the design is starting to show it's age a bit and it might need a complete redo by someone. But the main reason I've never bought one is He just looks very old fashioned to me now compared to modern 3rd party toys and also I just don't like such a dark shade of blue on him.I'd rather they made him lighter than darker than Takara's. But I'll jump on a white one whenever someone gets around to making one.
