I wanted to study robotics (as an EE) but the class was full. So I took optoelectronics instead. Suddenly, I found my passion as a laser physicist/engineer. That was nearly 30 years ago and I am well in my career developing and applying lidar systems..... Here we are on the explosion of the field of robotics and it is where it can be a fun empowering hobby--especially with modern powerful microcontrollers, sensors and 3d printing.

All of them, plus some. Tony Stark would have a good education in physics, business, materials science, and more. To get started, though, you'd probably want to start with machine learning, mechanical engineering, and business. Tony Stark had the backing of a very large business, which he inherited from his father, but if you don't have that, you'll have to start your own. Might also be a good idea to get a minimal education in copyright law. And read some science fiction classics, as they have useful ideas, and often have warnings and messages worked into them, to the reader and society in general.

You'll be smart and know a lot of difficult concepts for sure, but you'll not know the things that you actually need to know to design and make a robot in practice. I have a PhD in Chemical Physics and when I look at the FE exam for Electrical Engineering, I find that I have a lot of unfamiliar subjects I need to learn. I can go in with the confidence that I am capable of learning them though. But someone with a bachelors in electrical engineering is more ahead in terms of being able to build robots than a PhD in science.

This video was posted on my birthday 😂😂😂 , just wanted to ask can i have robotics or mechatronics as subfields with a physics or applied physics degree? And if so how many courses should i take to fill the gap ?? Please answer me am so desperate for help💔
@zachstar6 жыл бұрын
At my school you couldn't really do mechatronics or robotics with a physics degree. That's not to say you couldn't take certain electives that related to mechatronics, BUT many of those electives required pre req courses that physics majors don't take. But check with the schools you are interested in cause I only am speaking from personal experience.

MajorPrep thank you so much, but according to your experience what do you think is the best mixture between physics as pure physics and engineering? robotic and electronic to be specific? And is there's any way to mix them with masters or phd? Sorry for bothering you so much and asking you all this question but am in a bit of a trouble here 😬😬💔

RIG 99 it’s okay if you’re not amazing from the beginning. Besides, engineers get better from failing :)

It has been almost three years since this video was uploaded but i will still ask my question, maybe someone qualified can see and help me out. I am a Mechatronics Engineering student in Istanbul/Turkey. Since that I have high GPA, I can apply to double major programmes. The field I want to work in is Robotics, Systems & Control. I am trying to decide whether I should apply for Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering. I am wide open for suggestions.
