Just plain love the Volvo family of fine autos. The rear-wheel or all-wheel drive car is the best. I own, 960, 940, 740GLE, 240 DL, 242 DL, and that's all. Powered-up the 1993 - 960 to get 360 HP 390 @ rear-wheels, and 0 to 60 MPH 5.2 seconds, and it is a family comfortable car. A great "sleeper-car" that crushes inward the doors of others that dare to challenge in speed and mountain roads that are full of curves!!!

Volvo should resurrect the old number line for a series of cars that are either rwd or awd, lean more towards the enthusiast side of things and only come in sedans or wagons. First series can be the 1040/1050 etc

Z4G 700 series was there but it missed the 780 (really not part of the 700s) and the 900 series which were the last rwd volvos ever made..

Despite being "Volvo for life," I don't see myself acquiring any models after the P2 platform ended (2008). I have no interest in owning a Chinese car. As goes nationhood, so goes the individual character of national automakers -- homogenized, bland.
