This could be dangerous. What happens when there are no altruistic requirements for training surgeons to use these machines? Then they're just allowed to be by themselves in an operating room with a patient under anesthesia? Why is no one talking about the danger of people having unsupervised surgeries with an unproven technology. The machine could be fantastic, but what if it's used to perform smaller surgeries that DON'T NEED robotic precision. Would lengthening the time of surgery be beneficial for the patient? Likely not. This seems like a fantastic device to misuse, especially when surgeons can be paid by the company to use this device and vouch for it even when it's not needed.
