The Netherlands solved the issue of pedestrians stepping in front of cars decades ago. Broadly speaking, you just keep cars away from pedestrians entirely, and give people non-car ways of getting around so there aren't as many of them. They have essentially 0 traffic deaths per year and it's insane we don't emulate them.

Why not just make ALL E-vehicle chargers SCALE UP in CURRENT DRAWN over 5 MINUTES? No biggie in charge time, and this would easily be detectable as a gradual load building up at a power plant, even if everyone plugged them (impossibly) in at the same instant, you'd STILL have 2-3 minutes to deal with a DOUBLING of demand (since by definition, 2:30 later it's only at HALF demand current).

Our GOAL is MASTERING THE PROCESS OF LEARNING by AI, nothing LESS, not teaching it arcane skills one by one. The reason your salary maybe lowered is if you work for less hours you make less money. Hourly is at risk, not so much people that charge for a service. A job isn’t as valuable when it’s easier for the everyday man to accomplish with automated ai services is still true though.

The future of work and jobs has never been more uncertain. AI may well remove the harder parts of a job lowering the value of that job but that phase may well only last 1 or 2 years before AI can do the whole job. Advancements might move so fast that change is the only consistent factor. I have no idea how society, Businesses and economics work if tech advancements start to arrive so fast... you can't train to be anything the job will be gone by the time you are ready..
