Mainly because my primary goal has always been to play whatever comes into my head instead of learning this or that specific song. So I’m always happy when someone wants to jam. I can pretty much do that now with any single note lines as well as “normal” chords that aren’t like Am7b13 or something. Then I have to do a little bit of analysis first.

I've never heard of Rob Scallon but i decided to watch the first few minutes to see if I'd like his channel and I'm only 3 minutes in. From what I gathered from the first 3 minutes is that he has a really happy and positive outlook on life and its quite refreshing, and his community is very wholesome. It's a breath of fresh air keep doing what you're doing and I just wanted to comment and let you know that even strangers like me who don't even know who you are or what you do; you can lift their spirits and put a smile on their face by your personality and uplifting chill content.

Aw man, the very thought of getting anything as high quality as these instruments for free blows my mind, but then I realise that meeting and jamming with Rob would be more worth it. Also, we're kinda maxed out on space in our tiny home! I'd love to jam with more people of this level of talent. I think jamming above your station raises your game and levelling up, per se, is always a great feeling. Also, it's possible to discover that, by jamming with higher level players, you might be more adept than you think. I'm on my 48th solar orbit and I love learning new things and one thing I wish I learned in the late '80s was to stick to a practice regimen and not leave gaps of months or years between playing. I own a Schechter Omen, a P bass copy, a meh quality acoustic and my old 50th anniversary Squier Strat. My main focus in music has been in the digital domain and I did a soundtrack for a videogame called Disastr_Blastr. Most of my tracks are electronic, but there are a few on there with guitars. One of my tracks is fully metal and I did the whole thing myself except play the drum patterns. I also took up Uke for a laugh, but love it, especially low G tuning. Anyway, enough of the rambling. Hi Rob. Great appreciation for what you are doing, it is a most powerful thing to do specially towards people who wouldn't otherwise being able to take music as an activity. I myself began music only because a friend of mine gave me a bass he didn't use; ever since then I have been shifting away from my "mainstream" physics career towards studying music on my own, particularly from a maths and acoustics perspective. I like calling it doing scientific musical research. But my bass can only let me explore up to a certain point from where there after becomes challenging to advance in certain topics in music. (say harmony, for instance, just to mention something).

Damn I have to admit. This was one of the coolest and most selfless things I’ve ever seen. It teared me up a little for all the times I wanted music gear so bad but couldn’t afford it. I’m older now and can buy what I want (within reason, no slash snake pit Les Pauls) but it wasn’t always that way. So cool man.

This is by far one of the most wholesome videos I've seen in a long time. Not only are you giving away instruments and clearing up space at home hahaa, but you're making a difference in these people's lives! Teaching Renee how to rail grind! That's something he wont ever forget for the rest of his life. Rob, you rock!

I'm a 65 year old fart. You brought tears to this old turd. Never had a very good guitar, have had many over the years. Been saving up to get a decent one, watching you give those guitars away to other up and coming artists brought tears of joy. I have often said, that a fine guitar is like a good woman, touch and stroke em in all the right places and they make the coolest sounds. Thanks again.
