Don’t know if it’s just because he’s great at selecting people or whether it’s to do with how humble and nice he is, but everyone who is featured on this channel seems so laid back and supportive. Massively talented people communicating without the huge egos you come to expect on youtube. Beautiful stuff.

This feels so good to watch, it reminds me of times when I would play weird stuff with a great friend of mine, it would mostly sound not really beautiful but it was such magical moments of musical experimentation. Everyone should have opportunities like that in their respective art. Just to enjoy making stuff, no matter what it is, how beautiful it is to our standards. I think that playing music with people is one of the most powerful experiences I've had in my life.

I wish I had an ounce of Rob’s natural musical talent. I don’t mean to discredit his many hours of work and practice to get where he is, but man, you can just tell he’s a natural.
@salty_3k506
@salty_3k506 Жыл бұрын
uhhh no. that's just not true. Everyone is shit when they start out and everything just comes from practice. Like why even believe in talent? What's the point? You're acting like he put in maybe 5 hours but you don't see the years of daily practice.

I've been playing for 5 and I'm trying to use it but since I also play double bass it's somewhat hard to go from back beat to up beat when switching to and fro (which makes it so that I end up not bothering with the "hi-hat foot" at all on most songs because of that)
