I think there's no board game because it's basically set in 1939 like A Christmas Story (and I don't think a child would ask for something like a chess set at the time). They could have made a set of special "alternate reality" cards with classic board games, maybe.

They didn't fulfill the Kickstarter.

@@2532robh1 not sure which kickstarter campaign you are talking about. Like I said at the beginning of the stream, we bought our copy used at a FLGS in March 2024.

Apparently efforts are being made to salvage the recent kickstarter fulfillment of the deluxe 2e of the game as a result of the recent bankruptcy of Elf Creek Games. Updates have been posted in the kickstarter comments and BGG page for the game. Fingers crossed that I won't get a lump of coal instead of my deluxe order of this fun game.
